Height: 5'5" Current Weight: 174 but I started MFP 3 weeks ago at 180. My Christmas Goal is to lose 30 lbs. I'm starting from my initial weigh in weight of 180 - so my ticker shows that I've lost 6 pounds and have 24 to go before Christmas! It's slow and depressing at times, but WE CAN DO IT!!!

So do you just use a different calculator to determine your "new" caloric needs according to your "new" weight and adjust your goals in MFP?

Awesome read...I must admit, I zonked out for a second when things got really confusing, but got right back into it. I think your reply to that post really summed it up for me as i'm on a1,000 c/day diet. I can feel my body needing less calories after a week. But, that means I need to work harder to keep it off.
