I haven't weighed myself in a while but I know I put on a bit of weight. I'm doing dry January and really zeroing in on my eating though, so I'm hopeful by the end of January I'll be back on the right track!

I've got a few articles of clothing that still fit but not as comfortably as I'd like and I'm looking forward to feeling good in those again soon!

I am almost certain that's wrong.

So I totally thought I had stalled in my weight loss. I did measurements a month apart and lo and behold- I lost an inch off my waist, half an inch off my waist, three quarters inch off my bust etc etc- every measurement was down by at least 1/4 inch. So basically, the scale is a liar and especially when you're at those…

The good news is there's no such thing as lifting too heavy for a woman. Yay! Also, if your legs look like Pink's I'm incredibly jealous because her whole body is bangin'. I don't know that there's a way to shape your legs how you want because genetics is such an important factor. I've always been bottom heavy, so the last…

For a basic protein hit I use the EAS Whey protein that can be purchased at Target. It's the right nutrition for the right price imo, and it tastes pretty good too. I've cooked with it as well. I've been having meal shakes for lunch recently, using the Vega One meal replacement powder. It's vegan, which is ideal for me…

I've always subscribed to calorie in vs calorie out so I kind of feel like macros won't matter lolololol. That being says, I always way undershoot my carbs, so I might try and add a few more in.

Where can I find this group???

I work for a craft brewery and distributor so this is my life.... as you can imagine drinking is often part of the job (sales meetings usually start with us cracking a beer at 9 or 10am...). I've cut back on my drinking significantly (down to a few times a week instead of every day) so that's a huge calorie cut right…

I love fish and it's super easy to prepare- usually very quick too. I will buy whatever they have on special at Sprouts each week. Baking is a good option or I'll pan fry with just a little oil or butter. Fast and easy, have it with rice or potatoes and a vegetable. I love salmon for something a bit heartier and then sole…

B vitamins have absolutely made my urine neon yellow. It happened when I was taking supplements. I've also found very nutrient saturated foods can have a similar effect. Nutritional yeast has a ton of B vitamins as well and if I make vegan mac and cheese with it I'll have the same effect.

So I literally work for a brewery, so not drinking just isn't an option for me even if I wanted to cut it out entirely. I think what everyone else has said it pretty spot on- if it fits in your calories it shouldn't slow you down too much. I know some of my weight gain was caused not just by beer, but also by being a…

Nope, and I'm frankly not interested. Juice fasts are terrible- you just lose weight quickly and then will likely gain it back. And so many of those fasts say you'll "detox." If you have kidneys and a liver you are already detoxing. Just a gimmick and a way to cut corners.

Amazing! Well done and congrats on your hard work!

Literally all of me. All of me is sexy. #selflove

Do a boudoir shoot! He will love it and they are so much fun! So empowering and a good way to feel great about your body! Win-win.

I am here for allowing people to do whatever they want with their bodies. I can also guarantee most ladies with tats give 0 craps what others thing about them lol

Not sure where you're seeing the fat- virtually every non-dairy milk I've seen is little to no fat. And unsweetened is usually 0g sugar. I switched to almond and soy a while back due to the lower calories count- skim milk is 90 cal vs unsweetened almond which is about 40. I hate skim milk anyway and even 1% or 2% I never…

Coconut oil is fine for you. Anything is fine in moderation, after all ;)

I go to the gym alone all the time. I used to read on the treadmill and I'd only allow myself to read that book while I was working out. I've been doing the same thing with some podcasts recently too. After a while too it just becomes a habit. It's really cliche, but I never regret a workout. I DO regret being lazy and not…

These are some of my favorites: Leg raises at the leg raise apparatus at the gym. One you get really good at that, find a pull up bar, hold on in a dead hang, and pull your knees to you chest. Sitting in a V shape, tuck in your legs bending at the knee one at a time and then together. Then repeat with straight legs,…

It happens to me. I just power through it lol

When I was distance running I typically only ran 3 days a week because I found I really needed a day off my feet between runs. I just kept working my way up, mostly half a mile at a time. I would to a short run, a long run where I pushed my distance, and a medium length that I kind of gauged on how I was feeling.

So you're telling me if I cut my pieces if cake into long skinny pieces I'm good?
-
Right? I think sometimes people don't like straightforward direct advice. Lots of time being "mean" is really just someone getting to the point and not tap dancing around the issue.

I used to do POP Pilates videos on youtube when I was too lazy to go to the gym. Good work out and minimal equipment needed. I do second giving yourself a reason to go to the gym though. Both times I got on board with fitness was when I had a reason. The first I was working my way up to a half marathon, so I was training…

I mean, I guess if you eat potatoes every day and replace them with carrots, yes? Carrots are much less calorie dense than potatoes. But you should eat potatoes because they're delicious.

Carbs don't make you fat :) The first time I lost I was eating a pretty carb heavy diet. These days I eat more protein and fat, but that has more to do about a change in preference. Carbs aren't the enemy!

I've learned that there are a lot of people out there who would rather make excuses than actually follow through with what they "want." I see it about losing weight, career advancement, learning a new skill etc etc. I wish people would say "it's not a priority to me right now" instead of "I don't have time." I gained back…
