  • Congratulations on your success so far! Your tips are simple, but clearly effective.
  • I'm totally with you. Chips/popcorn/salty snacks make up far too much of my diet.
  • I was never a binge eater until I reached my goal weight four years ago. After that, I maintained for about two years and then started this whole binging thing. I put on forty pounds in the last year alone. The only thing that has remotely helped me is therapy. Binge eating is a symptom of another disorder I'm suffering…

  • Are you hosting or taking part in the planning? If so, I recommend the Hungry Girl Happy Hour book. I bought it for my MIL because she hosts a lot of parties. Basically, it's a lot of low-cal drink and appetizer recipes. If you're not hosting and therefore are victim to whatever is served to you, keep your alcohol simple.…

  • I'm '5"2 -ish... '5"3 on a good day :) My current goal is 125/130. I did lose weight in the past and got down to about 118. But through complete carelessness, gained it all back in a very short amount of time. I looked strange at 118, like a big lollypop, and it was hard to find clothes that fit. I think I looked best…
  • Genisoy has an unflavored protein powder that is vegan. I, like you, do not like my protein powder sweet. It's not the tastiest thing in the world, but blended with a banana and a little water, it's decent. http://www.genisoy.com/HostedStore.LassoApp?-ResponseLassoApp=detail.lasso&ID=9143f797c3d23408
  • The author of that book has a great website: http://www.theppk.com/ It's not all low calorie by any means (on the website), but if you're smart about portion control, the recipes are aaaaamazing.
  • I felt sore the first time I did the JM workout, and any time after, I didn't... so I started doing a different workout. But in general, I find that I don't get as sore with kettlebells as I used to with dumbbells or even just body weight. I also do a lot more cardio now (30 minutes before the kettlebells and 20 to 30…
  • You look AWESOME! So inspiring!
  • I feel you on this entirely. I was heavy most of my life, then managed to lose a ton of weight a few years ago. I was a size two just four years ago. Now I'm buying size twelves again and just barely fitting into them. It's frustrating, it's confusing, but overall, it's TEMPORARY. Good luck! I know you're going to make it…
  • Jessica Biel all the way. She's stunning.
  • Welcome! Good luck with your goals!
  • I know this sounds strange, but are you sleeping enough? When I don't get a full night of sleep, I retain water. If I miss sleep on a regular basis, I either can't lose weight, or even worse, I'll gain.
  • I Googled the whole slim down plan and it seems like it would be pretty effective. Although, when I read of others' results, they weren't as extreme as I would have imagined. But everyone's body is different, so who knows. I wish you a lot of luck and please check in and let us know how it goes!
  • You look awesome! And you can definitely tell you FEEL better, which is the most important part :) By the way, is the little one your daughter? ADORABLE!
  • I love the Super Slimdown! I use it on my easier, "rest" type days. Unfortunately, my body only responds to really hard weight training when I'm trying to lose weight, so maybe I'll just try the 30DS again and see how it goes.
  • I tend to be extremely energetic in the days leading up and for the first two days, and then I have a huge energy crash that lasts until about a day after it ends. Such an annoyance.
  • I love that show! I know Tommy Europe has a book, but I've heard it's not so great. I've tried looking for the workout plans for that show in addition to Bulging Brides to no avail.
  • When I lost a lot of weight in my late teens/early twenties, I lost all (well, most) of my friends. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just being real with you. I never changed who I was, but everyone expected me to be the "fat friend" and to make themselves feel better by looking at me in that light. When I didn't fill…
  • This is so difficult. I have definitely been there. The only difference is that I worked a pointless job, and your job is endlessly important! Not taking food into the ambulance presents a problem, but having not-so-great restaurants open late doesn't have to be so bad. Check the nutritional information for McDonalds and…
  • I just started C25K today. It was totally manageable. I'm excited about moving forward and seeing how well I manage the more difficult days :)
  • I have also found this to be true. I think men in my life have always treated me better than women, regardless of my size. But when I was thin, most of my female friends became bitter and left me. Now that I've plumped back up, women are unbelievably nicer to me! Maybe I'm just around better quality women these days...
  • I might be a little biased, as I am a massage therapist, but absolutely massages can help with your pain! When choosing a therapist, try the AMTA's "Find a Therapist" page at http://www.amtamassage.org/findamassage/index.html The AMTA assures that their members follow strict guidelines, including training, certification,…
  • I agree with those that mentioned fiber and water. In addition, add a little bit of lemon juice to your water. If you start every morning with a room temperature glass of water with a tablespoon of lemon juice, it should get things moving again.
  • I'm '5"3 and my goal weight is 130. I've gotten down to 120ish in the past and I looked like a lollipop. I'm going for a more human look this time around.
  • The Best - I love many of the 10 Minute Solution series because they are customizable, whether you feel like doing ten minutes, twenty minutes, or all the way up to the full fifty minutes. In addition, they offer at least one ten minute low-impact workout (for low energy days ^_^), but most have modifications throughout.…
  • I use a seven pound kettlebell and when I do J.M.'s Level 1 kettlebell workout, I burn about 300 to 350 calories in 25 minutes (I weigh 175lbs). This is also after about twenty minutes of cardio to warm up, so my heart rate is already up going into the workout.
