I take a multi-vitamin and L-Carnitine per my doctors recommendation, it has been working well for me

Thanks for the tip, just ordered my sample pack

I could have written this post :)

Yes I had mine done and it is really low. It is a lot lower than MFP gives you. I also saw a nutritionist and had help with setting up goals. It was very helpful.

I have lost 93 lbs in 19 months. It has been a slow process with some weeks of no loss and others with a pleasant surprise. I have not lost more than 4 lbs ever and generally average .5-2 lb loss. Things I have done- 1- eliminated diet pop, this was huge for me but helps me snack less 2- decreased my carbs, especially…

I have switched from peanut butter to PB2 and love it. I like to have fiber/protein bars, nuts, cheese sticks, a hard boiled egg, lite yogurt, or fruit for snacks
-
I tend to increase my fiber but sometimes forget my water intake, try increasing your water intake. I'm copying this from wanetam on another thread, all credit goes to wanetam. It is the positive effects of water, hth •A healthy (weight loss) diet includes a good amount of fiber. But while fiber is normally helpful to your…

I would stick with it and do a rotation of machines. If your gym has a recumbant bike, elliptical, treadmill or whatever do a rotation of machines. Anything is better than nothing. I started with the elliptical and could only do 3-5 minutes at level 1. Now I can do up to 1 hour at level 7. It has taken a year to work my…

I was like you so I downloaded just part 1 at amazon for $1.99. I do like it. I did 5 days of it last week and took the weekend off. It was not something I could do in our camper, LOL. Started back at it this morning. I'm getting close to move to the next level. It is not too terribly hard and for 2 bucks it was worth a…

I eat some but try to leave at least 1/2 uneaten. My reason is I do not weigh my food. I measure but do not weigh it. I could be off on calories. I also do not have a Heart Rate Monitor so my exercise calories is also an estimate. I am in it for a life style change but do not want to be bound to weighing my food and…

It took me a while but I learned that too. Now I know why I didn't have energy to exercise or anything else. It's a good life long lesson, congrats!

Here is what I have heard "If your goal is for better cardiovascular health and/or weightloss then varying your walking speeds is very useful. Start out by walking at a comfortable pace to warm up then try extending your stride and speeding up your pace for 5 minutes, then back to a comfortable pace for 1 minute. Repeat…

I agree drink something. I drink some water and wait 15 minutes or more. If I'm still hungry- I have yogurt. Blue Bunny Light Vanilla Creme is my favorite. It is very low in calories. I will have 1/2 cup - 1 cup sometimes with berries or grapes. It is filling and keeps the grumbling away until morning. I really listen to…

Truley amazing, way to go!!!

I was advised to do this by my nutritionist. I also zigzag my calories. It has been working the last 5 months. As the previous poster mentioned your goal is based on a weekly deficit.

I'm 5' 3", in a size 10 and weight 165. I also carry my weight well

I agree with this. I do not weigh my food (I measure but not weigh) or have a good quality heart rate monitor so everything is estimate. I allow myself some cushion for errors.
