I have been reading the other comments to try and see other viewpoints on this. Your comments on this definitely resonate with me. And you're right, he may have been trying to be helpful. But then if that were true, when the OP had given her response, he might have said something more like "Congrats on your weightloss" or…

You were not being oversensitive. Since he decided to make it his business, you get to respond accordingly. I quite frankly think it was WAY out of line for him to make that comment. And I commend you for not flipping him off or saying something rude (which is what I would have done). All you did was provide him a bit more…

Loved being part of the Hunger Games challenge. Sign me up!

Much of what I was going to say has pretty much been mentioned here. My guess would be that she misses spending more time with you. Since more of your time and focus is devoted to becoming/being fit, she probably doesn't get as much one-on-one time as might have happened in the past. Like others have suggested either…

You look amazing! Congratulations!

Ha ha, I remember that. "You're starving the baby" is what I would get if I turn down a treat. I was just outside of the range for gestational diabetes - failed the first test and barely passed the 3 hr test. My family, who are predominantly obese by the way, just did not get why I didn't go crazy on fried chicken or other…

Aww, thanks Melkadee for all the support! I think I am right along with you on the success rate. it seems that Friday night is the only time I get anywhere near seven hours I'm gonna see what I can do with these last 10 days. Wishing all of you success on this challenge.

I'm an architect and mom. The mom part keeps me pretty active, but architects are notorious for sitting hours reviewing and refining construction drawings, lol!

Friday night I got close to 8 hours as well as Saturday night, yea!! But then last night I was at only about 6 hrs. :-/

Tuesday night and last night were about the same around 5.5 hours each. I always have good intentions to get to bed earlier, but it never pans out. Going to try again this evening!
-
I'm in. It will not be easy though. Lately, I've had good intentions of going to bed early and before I know it, its after 1 in the morning, lol!

I would agree with those who posted before about assessing how you feel after workouts. My initial impression is that it is a little heavy on the cardio, especially if you are trying to put on some lean body mass. Also, if you want to recover well enough to push your efforts on those days of HIIT, you really should build…

first syllables of my first and middle names and 125 is the phone extension at the first "professional" (i.e. post college) job I had.

Just did 165lb for 5 sets of 10 earlier this week. When I started about 6 mos ago. I was only doing the bar (45 lbs)

I'm right at 5'6" and my current weight is 134. Recently I have been as low as 129 and thought that was too skinny for me. So between 130 and 135 would work.

I too am in maintenance mode, which I'm finding is very different. I started out as a runner (been running off and on about 15 or so years). But I am moving more towards strength training, which by the way, is helping my running. Feel free to add me! ETA: Congrats to you for your progress!

Nicely done!

Awww, thanks! Love your gunshow pics! I'm thinking of posting one soon.

Nicely done, Ernie!! You lost 120 lbs and 10+ years of aging, way to go!

It is actually quite common to expand a bit after eating or drinking. You are ingesting several ounces of food and or fluid and it takes some time for it to process. Chewing carefully (as was mentioned earlier) and eating slowly so that you don't ingest air as well will help some of this. Certain clothes especially those…
