I grew up in a household like yours. No eating out or order in unless it was for special occasions, same with sweets and junk food. When I branched out on my own, I didn't have the exact same mentality, I was more, I can eat what I want when I want. Now I am here and learning to balance. One can be raised in a home where…

I love this idea! So simple, cheap, and why didn't I think of this! Thanks for the idea.

I do when I get interrupted. Usually I get in a zone, have my mind set on the work I am doing or into the DVD, and if I am interrupted, I have to start where I left off. My heart rate goes down, loss of mojo, I just like to workout in peace until I am done.

Yes! Most of the time when I set up workouts with others, it lasts like, one workout. They cancel, change plans or its such a hassle, that I learned to workout on my own. This way I can workout when I want/can, do whatever exercise and pace that I want (get bored easy, so I am always changing it up, even at the last…

It should never be a "task" to end a gym membership. If one wants to quit, they should be able to, period!

I have the Charge HR and love it. I don't rely on the HR to calculate my actual burn for I feel it is off, but great for everything else. Going on 3 years with it.

On the days I am unable to workout (loss of motivation from long days is apart of it as well) I learn towards watching what I eat for the most part. This is the biggest part of losing weight.

I went online and printed a bunch of HITT workouts. There is cardio, strength, abs, ect. I then turn on some music and go through the routines. I have a few for I get bored real easy! :)

I personally just delete my fitbit count under exercise and go by what I actually did.

I stayed at the same weight (around 1-3 pound up and down) for over 4 months, unable to get past this "plateau" until I became stressed and didnt eat, dropped 5 pounds in 2 weeks. Now to maintain that drop is the tricky part since it was lost with little food. I beleive there can be a stall or pleateau, especially when one…

My pet peeve is myself! Going good, then doubt, struggles, set backs, ect. Then realize I am human and just need to take it one day and one step at a time. It's all about learning from my mistakes, what works... trial and error.

Bump, all looks great!

Runkeeper! I also have Nike+, but Runkeeper seems to always work better, tracks by GPS, my weight, height ages ect., AND, automatically updates MFP on the days I use it.

There is a cousin to this drug, phentermine. This is what I bet the OP is taking. This is what my Dr. prescribed me and many others.

:ohwell: I was on Phen a few years ago, and no, my Dr. didnt give me any nutrition guide or exercise plan. She just told me how to take it and for 3 months, then stop (to avoid getting the body use to it) and WHEN I started to gain the weight back, she put me back on it. Lets just say, I gained ALL plus some back, no…

I love Jillian Michaels and Jackie Warner DVD's. I also printed out a bunch of HIIT workouts from the internet and posted them in my "workout room" or any workout area.

YES!!!! I still have this issue after almost 50 lbs gone, I see that fat person. Looking through older photos to compare myself, I shake my head... how did I even let myself go. :frown:

YES!!!

I believe (from personal experiences myself being a fat child) that it is not socially acceptable with others. You dont hear people making fun of a persons weight with statements like "You're so fat, its bad for your health, and I am worried about you." Or even the "bad for your health" part. When I was made fun of as a…

This is why I try to explain to others that it is a lifestyle change with no diet. Usually if a person invests in all these different diet gimicks, they do yes lose, but what about keeping it off? Diet roller coaster, been there, done that.
