Well done Sir!

The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is today.

Paint.

For the record these were new folks. Not there last time I looked about six weeks ago.

Kraft fat free cream cheese. Nasty.

I too enjoy my craft beers.

No I wasn't. I was responding to your off topic "And?" statement with an equally happy off statement topic clarifying what I perceived as confusion on your part. As Juggernaut was kind enough to clarify, I now see your terse answer was, while unproductive to the conversation (I personally would have said something more…

No to the first and "generally no" to the second. As I explained to juggernaut, I was responding to you, not the OP.

Young lady, you ARE KICKING *kitten*! You had SURGERY, gained 40 pounds and by your own admission "I've gotten back on track". Way to go! So I say you didn't gain 40 pounds. I say you're down 81 pounds overall and only 19 pounds from a new record. I'm 54. I wish I had been as wise as you to take control of my health at…

I agree.

I guess it doesn't. But janejellyroll responded to a person's statement by saying "So?" and I felt it was worth responding.

For some of us, the presence of sugar, especially refined sugar, makes it hard for us to control our caloric intake.

My problem with booze isn't the calories, it's the loss of inhibition that tells me to buy the deluxe nachos.

It's not an impossible feat. It's just a long row to hoe. Wish I had your wisdom to start at your age. The most important part for me was to just show up here, on MFP, daily. Find people you agree with and just ignore the haters and the idiots. and log your food. Accurately.…

I never left! 54 years old, active on the boards and love to give accountability - as long as you do the same. Here's a bit of my story: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10009122/bite-me-couch-to-5-k-week-3/ http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1467513/goodbye-pepperidge-farm/…

Don't do that! Cook those eggs in the grease - just count the calories is all.

I'm afraid that I'm not sure of...

Thanks!

Careful dude! You're only two months in! Come back in ten more months with washboard abs - then you can really put it to the trolls. You're picking a rough row to hoe. Stay healthy. Good Luck.

Oh NONONO! Lying to our friends is the kind where YOU KNOW YOU ARE LYING! That's not the right kind of lying! If you KNOW you are lying you'll eventually start to feel guilty and shamed and responsible then start not lying. We want to avoid that kind of lying and stick to the kind where we can be pompous and good and then…

I use a HRM for two things: 1) Make sure my 54 year old heart doesn't go too high (I tend to ignore that when Im running) 2) To track my heart rate over the course of an exercise to try to get my rate to a good fat burn rate. I ignore exercise calories and only eat my MFP alloted calories. But Im old and set in my ways.

95% of all diets fail - because it takes us 95 "diets" before we realize it ain't dieting - it's lifestyle.

Well done Sir!

It's been a year so I've written a wrapup article. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10272913/bite-me-c25k-what-i-wish-someone-had-told-me-when-i-started

I love my Fitbit Surge. 1) It tracks my steps with uncanny accuracy. 2) It tracks my heart-rate (although I wish it had a "Your HR is too high!" warning buzzer). 3) It syncs about as well with MFP as anything (there are a few tweaks but there's a whole forum on here for that). 4) It's a perfectly functional wristwatch…

Well, I guess 7 out of nine ain't bad for me! Guess which two are still on my list? (Clue - they aren't white!)

Cool! I'm a stickie! Didn't know.
