Awesome! Well done.

I spent a good portion of last year and some this year decluttering the home of stuff. Still feel so far off getting rid of all the stuff I'd like to. I've kinda come to a slow at it but will be jumping back into the pursuit of a more minimalistic home. I've got some toxic friends that I have kinda let go somewhat until…

Amazing dedication. Well Done!!! Congrats to you.

Great job!! well done your hard work paid off. It's definitely possibly to reverse especially earlier in but really for many at any time. My dad reversed his diabetes with diet and exercise alone. I'm trying to prevent and get out of prediabetes range again and stay there. I had gone back down to 5.6 from my highest of…

Yes this is true for me. I am not really a picky eater at all. I was raised on fresh raw AND cooked produce so not really any healthy stuff I don't like. As I always say I haven't had a vegetable that I hated. I avoid corn. Just feel it is useless and doesn't really digest too well for me(or anyone in my opinion)but I…

How inspiring. I really need to lose 60 lbs(well really more but that will be a good start and pretty much insure I can wean off my bp meds based on past history of weight and bp readings) and intend to do so by my Birthday in Nov.

Yes aside from a physical and lab work to rule out thyroid and other metabolic issues such as insulin resistance make the family walks a priority as close to daily as possible. Make sure she is utilizing the P.E. department at school when it resumes in the fall(many schools have other options like weight training which…

So much back and forth on this. I eat some to all of mine(I don't always eat them unless hungry because of possibility of inaccuracies with their calculations on my calories burned) based on hunger and losing 2 lbs/week(which is what I'm set at because I have 100+ lbs to lose its healthy) or near there on average. I'd say…

It's because rice and pasta expands as cooked people measure dry before cooking. You can measure either but I'd be sure you are consistent with what you track on here. So, for example, if you eat 1 cup cooked don't chose the 1 cup dry measurement on the database which would obviously be more calories than you ate since you…

Not really it's everywhere. And unlikely to make a person stop using it because of its addictiveness until they realize they have a problem(not saying anyone here does but I have family that do). There are actually groups in my state trying to get over their addiction to it. Like AA.…

It's not scary for me(but that could be I don't drink or consume it anymore the time I did was in yogurts) but some of my family have massive amounts of Diet soda and struggle with non stop migraines. It runs in our family(my mom and aunts) but I don't drink diet never have and I have had minimal while they are struggle…

No I saw it up there after I wrote it. I just think if you aren't liking the taste it could be a time to drop it out. Do what you want. Your body!

I use whey protein some for breakfast because I'm not a morning eater. I've trained myself to have fruit and something small because I was advised to eat with my meds. I have been using it to meet my protein needs. I've been aiming for 90-100 grams. I was lucky to get 60-80 before. I'm lifting along with my cardio to help…

LOL Nope I've been taking high doses of pill form from b complex for about a year and my weight didn't move until I started moving more and eating less. ;) B vitamins have a great purpose but I don't think weight loss is one. I have anemia and there's a chance my lack of B vitamins are a cause.

fidgety? Yeah if someone is fidgety from ADD and takes adderall or others they may not gain weight. My friends two boys that take that never gain weight. One is so underweight I worry about him. He's turning 11 later this month and is the size of a 6-7 year old and can still fit 5T clothing but pants would be a little…

Yep either skipping other meals/fasting. OR bodybuilding but usually they are better at nutrition than that with their high calories. And some people just have great metabolisms or some other disorder that doesn't allow them to gain. My ex was pretty short and probably 110 on a good day he could eat massive amounts of…

Yep. Low Vitamin D here too. And added anemia now, from mild to moderate anemia, after being put on Metformin so I have a goal to get off that completely by the end of the year. Maybe sooner. I reduced my dosage to half so I just take my night dose. My fasting is still improving. I'll get my labs done but at home it's…

Yay! The 3 times I've had gym memberships both cardio and resistance were a main attraction for my visit. And the previous two I belonged to had some locations with hot tubs. I miss that but still love my Anytime Fitness without it but sure do wish it had hot tub options. I use the circuit machines but would really like to…

Down to a couple lbs to go to reach this goal now.

I have cheat day but reasonable and rarely that far over. I try to aim for that day to go no more than 2500 calories. Unless I'm near my cycle start I usually have a great loss despite that larger calorie day. I also try to time them for a day I do a good amount of resistance training(lifting pretty heavy) so as many of…

Yeah I check before I go if possible. Sometimes it's a random spur of the moment decision and not always possible though. It also helps to plan out the rest of my day accordingly so I can stay on plan. If you mess up that one meal just keep going back on plan at the next one. It will level out and you will get better at…

I'd just switch to water. ;) All of those chemical sweeteners are not good for health. They are possible causes of everything from cancer to migraines. I'd avoid it. I've avoided it since 2000 or so. I never liked diet soda and would rather have none than drink that disgusting aftertaste. aspartame is the worst in my…

I got a gym membership. The fact that I'm paying for it motivates me to use it. That motivated me to keep my MFP tracking going. It's spiraled into 10.4 lbs lost in 7 weeks. :) I do enjoy gym time when I have had a membership. I don't get a lot of income but my health is a priority to me now so it will have to be fit into…

I'd work at breaking it. It can be hard. When you realize it's a desire to chew and not hunger distract yourself. I stopped nail biting with similar distraction system. Though it is different it is the same concept breaking a natural habit. ;) Probably not unlike smokers having to break the hand to mouth habit even when…

Yep this. I lose a few and then maintain or even bloat up water weight and then drop a whole bunch. It definitely is not always fluid. I still consider my loses in the last couple months steady but two of the last 7 weeks were no loss or even small gains.
-
Put what your tracker says if it calculates weight/height and all that and follow that if you start gaining it might be less. If not you'll be good to stay maintaining as you are aiming to do. I'm assuming you eat the calories you burn? Because you are worried about it going to high. If you are still losing and worried…

My highest was 333. I'm currently at 302 so close to breaking out of the 300's. Next month I should be working my way down in 290s. I used to fluctuate between 200-250 most of my adult life. After some med changes in 2010 or so I started gaining weight. Then was on anxiety meds that put more on. My goal is 150-160. I'll…

Keep going. You can always bulk up muscle afterwards if you don't like your weight low. The way and order fat comes off with loss is random and unfortunately if you aren't lifting a lot might come off lean muscle too. :( I'd add in some lifting if you don't do that already. Just try to keep as much of the lean weight as…

Intervals. Up the speed for 30-60 seconds then lower for 60-90 seconds. You'll increase but it takes time. You might bump it to an hour too. I started at 30 bumped to 45 minutes and now I walk 65 minutes. For me it took a month to get to 3mph steadily for the hour after my warm up around 2.5-2.8. :) The gym has really…
