  • @princesschelley , thank you so much for sharing your story! Unfortunately today at lunch, I kinda messed up (went out for a salad, came back with KFC) BUT I have been trying to remember that I am feeding another person who I want to have the best chance at life I can give him/her. So thank you!
  • @Bj0223 did you do any extra exercise? Did you go through caffeine withdrawals? I have been limiting my caffiene greatly, but my head starts pounding by mid-morning.
  • Why start now?! You don't think starting a family and actually creating a little human isn't good motivation for wanting to better myself? I've been on here for years and I've had success (for me) but now, I'm thinking not just about me, but for another person too. The only reason I posted this is because I (apparently,…
  • @mbcieslak87 @mathjulz @jumblejups Thank you! I am trying really hard because I already know I'm at a higher risk than a "normal" pregnancy. I think what made me nervous was that it all seem to hit over night. I'm up roughly 8 pounds, but I think it all came on in the last month or so, and so I am hoping it is the extra…
  • I have spoken to my OB, she said it was fine if I wanted to maintain my weight. I wanted support and encouragement. I eat 2,550 calories a day, I am not starving myself. Sallydurkin, thank you for your help.
  • Cinnamon is one of my favorite things to add because it adds great flavor without the calories. People around here like peaches with it too, I'm just not a fan of peaches. Blueberries and black berries I like too. And fig preserves, but that's a lot of sugar :)
  • My only advice, is this: figure our what is triggering you and squash it! Stressed out? try taking 10 deep breaths or some yoga. Someone piss you off-Again 10 deep breaths or call a friend who you can vent to (or go to the gym and beat up a body bag!) Bored or lonely, go out for a walk, get a coffee, again call a friend,…
  • Congrats! That's ONEderful! (Sorry) I can't wait until I can post this!
  • I think it is a combination of things. My family are all "big eaters" but I've been doing well dealing with that so far. I do have the most tenacious sweet tooth though. I also suffer from getting really depressed and down during the winter months, and I am counting on exercise on helping me stave that off. I think I'm…
  • This. April 2014 Superhero Scramble. And the big spring reveal of my fabulousness after a long, cold winter of bulky, unflattering sweaters > That's actually what I was referring to!
  • I dislike skiing/snowboarding-I tried them both and failed miserably. @ Lambchoplewis, it makes me sad you don't like Ohio, I love it here (except in Jan./Feb.) but maybe it's because I live in Athens? I've done 5 5k's this year and I've been thinking about training for a 10k, but there aren't any around until April. I do…
  • Lurking at 5'9". I will post pics as soon as I hit 40 lbs lost. and will continue!
  • Wow, you look great! And I like the beard, btw.
  • If you're going to eat the calories back, which I always do, make sure you're fueling your body, not just eating cake because the ticker here says you can. Easier said than done, but we all come on this site to rewire our eating. The string cheese was a good approach, the pumpkin candies, maybe no so much. Keep in mind the…
  • Thanks for posting. Good article. It's hard not to take someone who's a Doctor seriously, but we do all have to use common sense when talking about our own health. Dr. Oz isn't me and doesn't have my medical history, and it's the same thing with each viewer. I think that this show along with WebMD are kind of a scary thing…
  • I thought it was the vinegar! But when I wrote this I also thought people were going to say I was crazy! I have a MS in Exercise Science, so I really do know what I'm talking about, but sometimes people get ripped so hard on this site, I don't wanna speak up!
  • This is going to sound gross, but I swear it works... I use it for my athletes all the time: pickle juice or a mustard packet. They both have something in them that make you stop cramping. I keep mustard packets in my med kit while at soccer practices/ games and every time someone gets cramps, they get a pack. They hate…
  • YES!!!!! :)

  • My husband is ADDICTED to Diet Pepsi. and he got me on the wagon. I have been soda free for about a week, but I still always have my morning coffee, so I'm doing fine. I do still want it, but I feel so much less bloated than before, and the first 2 days I swear I peed 20 times a day! I would just switch to tea or coffee,…
  • I like the idea of finding a celebrity who's your height /build, I may have to try that (and still be realistic about MY body)
  • Good article, thanks for posting. I had no idea, well maybe I had no idea. I think down deep, all 'Muricans KNOW our food is wrong. I try to keep a garden, and buy organic when I can, but yes I fall victim to the "fast, cheap, & easy".
  • IT IS DISGUSTING!!! Cilantro is vile! Glad I found someone who hates it as much as I do!
  • 15+15750=15,765!
  • Can you explain this one a little more for me? What exactly do you mean? Do you "workout" harder when you have something to train for?
  • LOL, my advice is to stay away from Chinese! It happens to be my favorite, so I can't help myself when I eat it!!! On a serious note, anything green can't be bad, right?

  • Those women are crazy! Keep doing what you're doing, keep lifting and grunt as loud as you want! It's their problem, not yours!
  • I'm doing the Cinco de Mayo 5k in Columbus this weekend! my first 5k in 6+ years! I'm excited! My goal is to do a 5k each month this summer!

  • Your body could be acclimated to your exercises too. Try a different DVD and do the stairmaster instead of eliptical.
  • I scored a 57! Yikes... But being honest, I really do hate how I look, and that's why I'm trying to change it. Isn't that the case for most people???
