Watch exercise infomercials or weight loss shows for motivation. Don't sit in front of the TV. Some gyms aren't that expensive, find a gym that has a cardio theater to watch movies, if possible. You're in CO ? Hike! :smile:

I will be 50 this year! I absolutely HATE menopause, working out is my only relief. Just joined MFP this month, I share my diary & recipes. Anyone can add me, I love to give encouragement as well as receive it! Yeah!!!!

I stay away from pasta. I occasionally will use pasta made from quinoa.

I used to like Kashi but Kellogg bought them out and they are cutting back on organic grains. Now I've switched to Cascadia Farms high fiber or ancient grains-love them. I'm also going to make a breakfast casserole in a pie dish that I can cut up into six mornings.

Someone told me that the word 'diet' stems from a Greek word meaning 'way of life.' So I don't 'diet' anymore; I've changed my way of life to eat healthier and stay active.
