It might be a case of time, I've read that HCG really messes with your body so it might take you some time to get back to normal. I would give it minimum 3 months and see how things are.

I've been told to have a period every 3 months also but seriously, day 2 and it's already a nightmare! I've also been having GI issues from it...
-
I got It Starts with Food and Practical Paleo, looking for my next now!
-
In for the same info lol, PCOS and skint!

Laziness - if I wasn't so lazy I could avoid temptation by getting up and cooking something healthy, but I always wait until I'm sick starving and need to eat NOW, which is where all the junk food comes in

Hi, sadly this isn't a very active group! I definitely hear you on the exhausted thing, and the weight thing, however I have much much more weight to worry about so you're lucky in that respect. I also came off Metformin but I didn't give it much of a chance due to rather intense GI issues that made me afraid to leave the…

Hi, I'm sorry you haven't had any replies before now! I don't have some of the severe issues you have, just the cosmetic ones that make nearly all of us miserable. I have loads of weight to lose with the goal of getting pregnant eventually. I'm still working out what can help me other than weight loss, I've noticed…

As someone who only gets their "TOM" about every 13 - 16 months or so, I get mauled by PMS so yeah, it's a little hard to restrain myself at those times.

Congratulations, looking fab! It's very inspiring cause I have similar stats and would be so happy if I could get into an 18 after losing 50lbs. Best of luck with the rest!
-
I'm definitely going to stick it out :) Only problem is I used to only get hungry once a day for a big meal but now I'm hungry all the time lol. I guess my body has more than just a change of diet to grow accustomed to.

Want

I didn't even see anything negative there... Just "we need more information to be able to help" basically :/
-
An entire cheesecake. PS. want to swap problems? :/

I think when you get to the point where you're asking questions just for agreement, there isn't much anyone can say to change your mind. It sounds like you've already decided despite most comments urging you to try a Paleo alternative. Hopefully it won't spiral out of control and you'll be able to get back on track after…

Very inspiring, thanks for sharing :)

You look so much happier getting your picture taken now. Congrats, you're an inspiration :)

Bookmarked for when I finally get there, thanks!

Having to live on a budget AND shop online because shops don't stock my size (UK 26). The clothes I buy are expensive but aren't made very well and I have to wear them to death. Cue embarrassment of me having to wear a pair of jeans to college today that have holes in the thighs. I'm just hoping my jacket will cover it…

I found getting started a nightmare, and I can imagine it would be just as bad getting back into things. I'm doing stuff I find fun to get my exercise though, like jump rope, hula hoop and jumping jacks. All staples of my childhood before I started getting fat, and still loads of fun :)
-
Eat as much nutritious stuff as possible to help you recover faster, don't worry about exercise until you feel better and if you do indulge, indulge with something small that comes in individual portions to keep it's effects on your diet low. I think the general consensus is worry about getting better first though.

I scored a 27, severe. Hopefully I'll knock it down quite a bit in a few months!
-
You should write a book :O It'll take the exercise world by storm!

Sounds lovely apart from the banana, but I'm guessing the consistency is needed to make it work :/

I've noticed that a 10% loss doesn't help with my cycle really. It's the exercise that sorts me out. I can go more than a year without getting a period by any time I exercise, I start spotting. If I continue with that exercise over a week or two, I get a period. I think with PCOS it can be very different for everyone…

My mom was over 300lbs when she started doing Zumba but she always loved dancing so went ahead and tried it anyway. It was hard for her to catch up for the first few weeks but eventually she was doing great (she was 53). If it hadn't been for her college exams, she would still be going and I think she's going back over the…

Way to go! My mouth literally just did the silent 'wow' thing :D

Shared on Facebook in hopes my mom and sisters will read it. It used to upset me no end when my mom said she was fat.

I think it's a low self esteem issue, I'm kinda the same. I've yet to lose the weight (btw, congratulations, that's an amazing feat) but I think to myself, "I should dress nicer, wear a little make up, do my hair" but I never do because it's so different to what I normally do, which is the baggy clothes, no make up, hair…

Thanks for all the replies! I've decided to go ahead and jump in. I'm the same when it comes to nuts and cheese, I can devour a load in one sitting so I'll still have to exercise some self control and definitely log everything. Now I just have to decide if I want to go Paleo or Primal and whether to start tomorrow or…

Could it be insecurity on her part? Maybe she thinks you'll leave her when you feel super confident about yourself. Maybe try giving her extra love and attention and reassurance. Otherwise it could be jealousy that you've managed to achieve weight loss when she hasn't. Hope things go well for you both!
