Are you sure it’s you and not your clothes? Sometimes clothes that sit in the washer too long will have that smell. You may not smell it when they’re dry, but your sweat can activate it if your clothes get wet while you workout.

200 lb deadlift (i think my 1rm is about 170) Climb the rope at my gym

Does the 10,000 steps include your cardio sessions? It's not an exact science but based on your steps I would put your activity level at "lightly active" and then log your gym sessions as extra exercise.

To answer the original question, I find this EXTREMELY annoying. So much so that it can ruin my day. I also realize that this is really my own issue, and I most likely have some kind of social anxiety or something. I also think (for me) that it's related to insecurity. I'm pretty out of shape right now (compared to my…

I would set your activity level to "active" and count it as activity level instead of adding extra exercise.

So a quick count shows about 11 voting “yes”, and 12 voting “no”.... that really clears things up

I personally didn’t think it was a huge deal at all - I could see a leopard thong under her black tights when she squatted. I wasn’t offended or grossed out at all, but I just thought she might want to KNOW. I would definitely want to. But then I thought I might come across as creepy, like I was staring at her butt.

Oh my gosh - that's more than a mini success... you look AMAZING!! (And I'm so jealous that you lost the weight while managing to keep your boobs. Lol)
-
I was going to say pretty much the same thing. I would try out your new non-swimming routine at the gym first, because an at- home gym is a pretty big investment if it turns out it will be something you don't like.
-
Just wondering... Could there be a different reason? Like did you go to a happy hour and not drink or something? I'd hate to think someone would be that ignorant to comment so callously about your weight.

I put my 3 year old in my Kelty backpack and she loves it... she's about 34 lbs.
-
I've never seen anyone do this so I'm comfused by this thread... How "stripped down" are we talking? But honestly, I wouldn't care if someone stripped fully nude at the gym. I probably wouldn't even notice... it's 5 am and my mind is still half asleep

Holy cow, you look like a fitness model! Fantastic job, and best wishes on many years of maintenance!

I second/third the suggestion of a cool shower. You can start out warm and gradually decrease the temperature so it's not a shock.
-
Nah - I like to make sure my immune system is also getting a good workout. Oh yeah... and I'm super lazy.
-
Oh man - movie theater poocorn is my kryptonite. We go to the movies only 2-3 times a year, and I will save up all week for a large popcorn (on my own - don't judge me. Lol) and a few beers. Just under 2,000 calories

Run it like a bat out of hell... You only live once. Lol

I feel kind of dirty after watching this...

Yeah, this is also a huge pet peeve of mine, so I can kind of understand her annoyance. But at the end of the day, you have the right to use whichever machine you like.
-
I will eat a sandwich in the car on my way to the gym. WHY did you skip your workout?!?
-
Add me to the long list of people who hate the "my journey" expression. But mainly because I see it most from people who are trying to sell over-priced MLM junk.

To add to that - when you're on the stairmaster, your Fitbit is really just measuring the back and forth motion of your arm, and probably thinks you're out for a somewhat leisurely stroll. It doesn't "know" you're pulling yourself up a step repeatedly. When you're on the elliptical, you're going faster and your arms are…
-
Hmmmm - I typed up a long response that disappeared. Essentially, the Fitbit is just a fancy pedometer (unless you have the one with HR monitor). If you compare them based on the number of strides you're taking, stair-climbing is a lot more work (literally and figuratively) than the elliptical because you're expending all…

It's been almost 6 YEARS... (I wonder if the OP has a thigh gap yet)

Congrats!! That's pretty speedy for your first 5K :)

This thread had really delivered... lol

Well the London Marathon was last month... how did it go?? :|

What part of your body are you straining?

Tacos... enchiladas... fajitas.... you get the idea.
