  • Hi there. I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago at age 38 (unfortunately still not cancer free) but after my first main surgery and radiation I too said enough and told myself it’s time to lose this weight (I was far heavier then you) and managed to lose 80lbs. Add me as a friend or message me. I would also love someone to…
  • Oh gosh you aren’t alone! Keep it up and I truly believe you will get to your goal. The point is to never give up- it’s a lifelong process. I gained back almost 30lbs from last year and I’m also now back at er! Feels great and I’m hopeful that I will get down to where I was last year..but this time I’m shooting to go all…
  • Everyone is doing so well- we should all be proud just for showing up some days! It’s sticking with this for the long run that works so those of you with no huge losses- feel proud that it’s not a gain! And for those that did have solid losses ..it’s so inspiring so please keep sharing! On rough days or weeks I try and…
  • Hi all. So I reached a pretty big milestone this Monday weigh-in day. I’ve officially lost over 100lbs! Woot woot! I still have more to go so I have to ensure to keep at it and not slack and be okay if it’s gonna go brutally slow. It’s hasn’t yet but oh I know it’s coming. One thing that’s really worked for me this time…
  • I had a NSV today. Even though I’m only down like 6-8 lbs since mid December..somehow through my diet break I managed to lose inches so I finally fit into my next pair of “goal” jeans! I then tried on the rest of my old “skinny” clothes left in my bag and low-and-behold..everything fits! 😃
  • Lauriekallas, sorry to hear you are struggling with the virus, not fun. I’m impressed you are still keeping active and on plan. I’m heading out to Dominican Republic (taking all safety precautions and insured out of my ying yang)with my middle son (age 12) as it’s our mom/son trip that was unfortunately canceled last year…
  • Hi all. Just checking in as I haven’t since before Christmas. It’s so great and inspiring to see people back at it and continuing on. I feel like this group “gets it” and I’m truly happy for everyone’s continued progress and support those of you whom share your struggles..makes me feel not alone. I was down right…
  • Congrats! I love the simplicity of this. Proves that you don’t need all the bells and whistles to lose the weight. Just low on the cals and try and move more and really stick with it long enough to see results. I’m 92lbs down myself in about 11 months now and that’s how I’ve been doing it too!
  • You all are so inspiring. Its great to read how you all deal with long term weight loss and just how difficult it gets after 8+ months! Well I’m happy to report I’m down another 12lbs since I last checked in here at end of sept. I’m finding it is getting harder and harder to meet my low cal limit of 1250cal so I’m trying…
  • Welcome! I too was diagnosed with breast cancer about 10 months ago and while I’m not yet cancer free, I’m hoping to be with the next 6 months. I’m not even 40 yet so it can really happen to everyone so I hope everyone scan when they can. Meds have also made me gain more easily (and I was already really overweight) so I…
  • You all are all still doing so great. Happy to read about all the continued progresses! I’m down another 10lb mark and I’m definitely still learning about how my body reacts to calorie intake/restrictions. I’ve been sticking to my low cal amount (1350) and now started HIIT exercise 3-4 times a week so I’ve been doing good.…
  • Just finished reading a couple threads to catch up from the last couple months..and jeepers you all are doing amazing- really is inspiring so please keep sharing! So to share a bit myself...I’ve hit another “10lb” mark loss so I try and use that to force myself to take measurements and some pics of progress(and I’ve…
  • Just made what I call a caprese type salad. Cherry tomatoes, micro basil (all I could find), fresh mozzarella and drizzled with a bit of balsamic glaze. Super low cal and so so so good!
  • Thanks for sharing..wonderful post and many parts resonated with me. Changing lifestyle habits is what weight loss is all about for me and I feel that’s why it’s so hard. Keep going strong...not having an end goal for weight loss is fine...maybe keep the goal of just sticking with the healthy lifestyle..the rest is icing…
  • Just wanted to check in as I am back after I dealt with the last set of treatment side effects which made me fall off MFP- so now being able to manage putting effort back into weight loss but I fear my only goal right now is to track food/exercise everyday. This thread and group has helped push me forward this last while…
  • So happy for you @conniewilkins56 !!!! On your way to success...keep it up! It’s great seeing you all succeed, small losses..big losses...it all adds up!

  • I’ve been largely doing okay...dredging along and then bam..I overeat to make myself feel just a tad better after a challenging day (and the day isn’t over yet..already at cal limit). It’s these habits I’m trying to change or I’ll always keep yo-yo ing. 1) log every day ☑️ 2) min of 4000 steps/day - ☑️ 3) drink 6 glasses…
  • Wow. Seems as though I keep forgetting to post. April 18-5/6 April 19...4/4. new goals this week. • @lauriekallis i am still impressed with how much walking you fit it!
  • @conniewilkins56 As a fellow binger...I’ve noticed that even one binge throughout a month or 6 weeks can destroy my weight loss for that entire time so they really can make a difference (and my binges haven’t been completely horrible lately either). Dealing with those triggers of what brings on the binge would probably be…
  • The only thing that cured PF for me was resting the foot. I wasn’t a runner at that time and it just happened one day. It was super annoying trying to stay off of my foot but it was the ONLY thing that worked..it took about 6 weeks unfortunately after suffering through 6 months of other stuff like insoles etc. I did start…

  • I was proud of myself at supper today. I had lots of cals left for my day so I could have eaten everything I ordered but instead I found myself full when I ate half of my dish so I stopped eating and listened to my body instead of brain (as it was sooo good..I mentally wanted to enjoy all of it). I wonder if this is what…
