Welcome back. I left myself two years ago and returned with the determination to commit to the change. I am new to he community but so far it's been a great asset. I enjoy the giving and getting of motivation by so many like minds. It's made me want to do more these past few weeks

I too had a two year hiatus though I never used the community. this time around I'm finding much motivation to get me through the rough times. Add me if you'd like

So this C25k sounds like a good idea. I have 100 to lose as well and for two years now I said my goal was to be able to (comfortably) run. I've never been a runner (ever ever ever!) so it's something I want to make happen
-
Feel free to add me. I'm 32 and in it for the long haul (100 to lose) and I am recently committed to beating my emotional eating addiction. My stressful job can be a motivator and a deterrent so I enjoy the support of the MFP community to get me through those rough times

I'm setting up my crockpot now. Will let you know how it comes out
-
Feel free to add me. I like motivating others in committing to their weight loss journeys. We can do it together!
-
I also add frozen fruit. That and ice helps me stomach the taste of powder
-
I never thought to try this. I usually don't do add sugar to popcorn. I'll give it a go
-
No matter how hard I try I can't get down cottage cheese. I like Greek yogurt though and almonds. Occasionally I'll have a protein bar.
-
I'm going to have to try it as rice. I love it as fake mashed potatoes. It's the only way I'll eat it now. I have a pizza crust recipe around somewhere I still haven't tried

Welcome. In my experience I've learned I have to find a happy medium. Can't binge but I also learned I can't abstain fully from a treat in moderation. I agree with what everyone has said about eating real food. The processed things are what hinders us when it comes to eating. You're never quite sure what all is in it and…

Feel free to add me. I am enjoying the giving and receiving of motivation from the MFP fam

I knew there had to be more of us here! I sent you a request. Any other geeky friends can feel free to add me.
-
No one has to do it alone. Add me if you're interested in encouraging each other to do better.

The community is great. I learned about it a few weeks ago and I've had nothing but positive interactions
-
This sounds good.

This sounds good and not too big on calories. I think I'll try it over a salad.
-
I did not know this! Thanks! I'm a carb counter as well. Not as strict as I was before but still mindful. I found this app very helpful in assisting in keeping track of my carbs. Other than the app I find it easier when I plan my meals in advance

Welcome. I did a LCHF diet a few years back and the weight seemed to melt off. I also had trouble with too much protein at times. I consider going back to LCHF often now. The second best thing about it was the fact that I had so much energy while on it. I had a lot to devote to exercise.

I'm not a diabetic but I have a similar goal. Change won't happen over night but each day we have the opportunity to contribute to a more healthy lifestyle. Don't be intimidated by your goal. You can do it.
-
Add me. My first week in the community has been a good experience. I'd like more people to share journeys with.
-
Congrats! That's a big deal. What kind of lifestyle changes did you make to accomplish your goal?
-
Add me as well. And where does one find a frozen mint pea?

I had trouble twice, once on a HC diet and the other was really bad after trying 2 protein shakes a day as meal replacements. I second magnesium citrate. You can get a liquid bottle for cheap (like $1) at almost any store. It's gross tasting but it does the trick. I also used dulcolax tablets before because the citrate…

Welcome back! I'm in the same boat. Lost weight on 2013 (40 lbs) and gained it back, plus over these two years. I decided to come back and be accountable as I begin my lifestyle change.
-
I too considered surgery before since it seems like everyone around me is doing it. In all honesty I just felt like if I could commit to making a lifestyle change for my health there would be no need for me to go through (what I imagine is)a risky procedure. I decided I'd make my chance and fully commit this time. I've…

I love it. I haven't taken a class yet (chicken) but I have the DVDs
-
In the beginning I found it hard. It taught me how to be creative about what I eat and I tried many new things. I say hit the forums and the net for recipes. You'll find quite a bit

I lost 40 pounds following a LCHF diet a few years ago. The first week was killer but after that it worked well for me. I have never seen such fast results as I did then when I did it. I also didn't feel hungry. I stopped to go on vacation and before I realized it weeks had gone past without me following the same exercise…

These words ring true for me. That last sentence is probably the best way to overcome it.
