I have a hand-held gadget, a Veggeti, for making spagettii-like zoodles, and I've used a vegetable peeler to make flat zoodles. Either style is wonderful! I cook the strands in chicken broth, adding butter, salt and pepper.

I'd use my 500 calories on meat protein and the fat you cook it in. The carbs aren't necessary all the time; the protein and fat will leave you VERY satisfied until morning
