Never work the same muscle group every day. No more often then every other day, preferably with a 3 day alternation between muscles groups at least. The muscle needs time to repair itself from the small tears caused during exercise. Good luck!

Often seperation of the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) is caused by pregnancy, but it can also be caused by other sorts of trauma or injury, or sometimes damage caused by very weak muscles. A way to test if you have seperation is to lay on the floor on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor.…

Does it have timing features? A count up/count down type option?

Resting is 42-44 .. which has dropped in the last few months (yay!) .. resting used to be 46. But I'm lucky to have a healthy heart, even when I was much heavier than I am now ( a good 60lbs more then my current 129 on a 5'2" frame, it was still only at 50 even then.

The dedication and general good vibes on this board are so inspirational. @ Lizard, I'm sorry you're out, but totally understand and am glad you're listening to your body and getting the rest you truly need! Perhaps we can dive into a round 2 of p90x in the fall?? Everyone else, working out on the road, before plain rides,…

I got my baby jogger city (can have swivel wheel for strolling or lock for running) back in '07. Last year I used it for every run except perhaps 2 or 3 where I got out alone. The difference in pushing a regular stroller with its boxy shape, 4 small wheels VS a 3 large wheeled, front wheel locked jogging stroller is HUGE.…

Happy Saturday everyone. Yesterday I DID find time to kick off week 6. AND I got in a 4k. All after 7:30pm lol... Oh the things a girl will do sometimes eh? But I HAD to get plyo in today, because it's a friends birthday tonight and I knew there was no way I would be able to do Plyo after a night out. So i pressed play and…

You are all doing fantastic! Reepo you rock for being so committed to doing the program on the road, I find it inspiring! Deb - your pic looks awesome! Everyone else you rock, I wish I could do personals for everyone, but I am one tired girl. Today is rest day of week 5, I debated on getting a run in but decided to ignore…

So I saw in your OP that you bought NEW shoes. Were these good quality running shoes that you were fitted for and paid a decent $ for? Because honestly I would never run in a shoe I bought at walmart. I agree with the PP who suggested RICE = Rest Ice Compress Elevate. Take some time off from running, do some gentle…

Today is Day 3 of Week 5.. So I'm looking forward to another 'new video' with Back & Biceps today. You are all doing great and I too find your stubbornness motivational Bob :)

I agree you need to see a doctor, but you could try paying a visit to a registered massage therapist first - they can do wonders for muscles. When my boss was training for the ultra marathon my town hosts (she ran a leg of the 125k race) when she injured her knee the massage therapist was the only thing that allowed her to…

I'm 5'2" and my goal for now is about 115, but I will reevaluate that number once I get there, if I feel there is more muscle to gain and fat to burn I'll keep going! I agree about there being additional challenges to losing weight as a short person. It's hard not to be a little frustrated with our smaller burns and teeny…

If you force yourself to eat breakfast for a while your body will start having an appetite for it. Take it from me ;) I skipped breakfast for YEARS.. and YEARS.. and YEARS!! lol. And now I wake up hungry. Instant breakfast is better then nothing. But a homemade fruit/yogurt/granola parfait or an egg and some fruit is much…

They don't. In fact they eat very, very little. They also do intense cardio to dehydrate before weigh ins to show those HUGE losses. It is not healthy, it is not even really safe. It's television and I don't recommend doing anything they do.

I say do it after your run.. like run in the morning do yoga in the evening. I know a lot of people hate p90x yoga. But I like it. Sure I wish it wasn't as long, but I feel amazing after doing all of those vinyasas and balance poses, and After only 3 weeks I'm already noticing gains in strength, balance and flexibility so…

Unfortunately we can't target fat loss... or I'd be ordering all of mine to come off my thighs  But you can do exercises to build up the muscles in your arm so that as the fat melts away, definition comes through! It'll come off, just give it time, keep up the strength training and cardio and you'll get results!

Good job on the inches lost girls! Any progress is fantastic! My measurements are going to be a little late. I made a pact with myself to only weight & measure every 40 weeks of the p90x program. So I won't have data for another week & 2 days.. but I will post for sure once I have it!

I say, drink a big glass of water and wait 15 minutes to see if the hunger pangs go away. If they don't you are legitimately hungry and I say have a small snack, an apple, some low fat cheese with fruit, a yogurt and half a banana etc ETA .. one of those suggestions not all of course :)

We usually eat dinner late, sometime between 6-8 .. I agree with posters who stated that your body doesn't know what time it is. It does not matter what time you eat, it matters what you're eating and how much.
-
You would have had to eat a LOT of extra food to actually gain a pound. I'd bet anything it's water retention from the 'naughty food'. Remember your body NEEDS this rest week, you've been pushing it really hard and you will feel stronger and better when you start week 5! <3

For the homework stuff, what about making it monthly.. as in turn your homework in and get your studying done by ____ day and you get ______ .. new shoes, sweater, game .. whatever.. If that doesn't work then find a weekly reward for yourself for doing your homework?

My vice is pepsi I'm adding you :)

What a great loss! you seem very supportive, I'm going to add you :)

I suggest taking up running or walking, most babies will chill out in a speedy stroller if it's going somewhere interesting. Also I suggest getting a good baby carrier (I LOVE my Ergo and it feels like wearing a very comfortable backpack) and take up hiking or even just fast walking. Baby on your back is comfy and great…

I lost 70lbs.. and kept it off for 4 years before getting pregnant with my daughter (who is now 3) I started out at 120lbs, dropped to 110 from morning sickness temporarily (mostly lost water weight), but once that passed I got back to 120. By the end of my pregnancy I had gained 30lbs putting me at 150lbs give or take a…

And Adam I see a HUGE difference in your pics - great progress!
