I keep trying to tell my friends who read the first couple books with me about this. It pays off in the end. If only Robert Jordan had had someone besides his wife to edit him. I wish I could go back and edit his books ... she said as she sharply yanked her braid. I love Thursday Next, and am really enjoying the Quarkbeast…

Muscle does burn more calories at rest, though, right? I may have fallen for the hype, but if it's true then it would seem people who are more muscular would have an easier time keeping the weight off. Not so much genetic, but it would change the equation.

This. I've been doing some of the pelvic tilt stretches in order to correct a hamstring/hip issue I have and or the first time in my like my bottom doesn't feel like I don't have two pillows attached. (even when I was in high school and weighed 40 lbs. less than my current weight) It's also changed the way my upper legs…

Six hours is a really long time to go between meals for SOME of us. I have an easier time in the evening, but I really can't make it more than 4 hours between breakfast and lunch. An apple in between that can really fill you up, and after about a week your body will come to expect it, even crave it. I'd experiment to see…

"I hate to say it, but after the other author took over the books got a LOT better. I don't think it's ever a good idea for a writer to have his/her significant other being their editor," she said while pulling on her braid ...

Okay...I get that the Doctor isn't my boyfriend, but does anyone else have a negative reaction to how he's ordering Clara about? I know the original series turned me off quite a bit because the Doctor would occasionally be a little too didactic to his companion, and I really liked the way the current series has put the…

Am really loving The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter.

I agree with this. I have made it a rule that I do not eat after I have my tea. It's made it a habit so that it feels odd if I eat after having my cup of tea. As an aside, I would be careful about the gum. I love gum, but I find sometimes if I chew sweet gum for a few days straight I start craving more sweet things. It…

I liked Shane before he went truly insane. The whole Shakespearean-type tragedy of his love was nice and truly believable. It really was too bad about the unbelievable crazy.

I'm ready Sacré Bleu by Christopher Moore. It's pretty fantastic.

He is ADORABLE! I really see the young Ianto Jones! I can't wait to show my kid Doctor Who.

I might try adding the things you do at work for a week or so and then deciding. I'm sure you're at least moderately active with the things a stable hand would do. I found I was getting a lot of exercise when I worked as a maid in college. My arms never looked better, though I didn't do anything outside of the job. I know…

Yes. I've actually been having a difficult time not downloading them all right now so that he can read me to sleep. There are moments where I can just picture the face he's making doing certain voices and can't stop giggling.

+1 I go through times when I'm really into posting and times when I don't, but it would be so much easier if I could do it on my phone. Especially since I do so much better when I'm in greater communication with the community.

Michonne. I only wish I were that cool.

Ooh. I just can't pick. But if I could only watch one, it would be Jaynestown. I love that episode. Everything about it. ...oh but then there's the fancy party and the hands of blue... and there's just no way. They're all so good.

I liked it. There were parts that were "meh." And the second episode more so, but I think if he gets going they'll iron out. Honestly, I've been in love with him since I was a ittle bittle watching TNG with my dad. And Alphas was so awesome...

Brussels sprouts. Bake them and they're amazing, cook them in the microwave with a bit of water and a TOUCH of maple syrup and they're a serious treat.

Love oh so very much!

That is awesome!

tea and writing/doodling. We don't pick up pens enough anymore. It doesn't prevent me from overeating when I'm frustrated with my kids for not napping (it's for their own good! They're EXHAUSTED!!!!! ARGGGGGG!) but when I find that I want to eat I ask myself if I'm hungry enough for an apple (who said this, because it's…

I bought a waffle maker a year or so ago. I make tuna melts on it, adding spinach, and they love it. It's a bit heavy on the cheese for me to eat, but I think it's healthy for them, and we don't eat a lot of cheese to begin with. They'll also eat anything with shrimp. And we do taco night, which is so easy to make healthy…

...right. but how do you plan your shopping trips? Do you feed little kids? I eat whatever I want, but I still like to plan out the week. Staying away from junk food is a lot easier when you have a plan, even if you don't stick to it completely.

in. I need to add more variety. I love listening to Happy right now when I'm working out, and Slate had a great list on spotify that I grab every so often: https://www.facebook.com/Culturefest/posts/10151646578828473

Because it doesn't mix as well? It's the same reason I use powdered milk in some recipes. Also, taking a little fat out makes it a little safer since I've started having gallbaldder problems.

Yay! What a fantastic victory!

It's great in chia pudding (1T chia, 1T PB2, 2 ounces liquid - coconut milk, almond milk, etc.) and in oatmeal and plain yogurt.

Eowyn.

Anyone mention Better off Ted or Eureka? I think those are both on Netflix and they were great. ... well, Eureka was great for a couple seasons...

I can't even figure out how to bend my elbow to do one! Gah!
