I'm 30 and I'm into 5Ks as well - but I think I will be working towards 10K over the summer. I'm in TX - I'll add you!

Daisy 2% fat. ...but apparently that's NOT your fave! Breakstone is definitely the worst!

1) Try (as best I Can - sometimes life happens) to plan my food out for the entire day. 2) Have fun trying new recipes and taking the "Me" time to prep things ahead of time! 3) Don't be afraid to find something "close enough" in the database and just move on.

Being honest with yourself can be a blessing and a curse. But man when you swap regular oatmeal for cookies and berries instead of brownies - I bet you'll find your performance when running goes into overdrive!

Roasted Cauliflower with Cajun Seasoning. Cut up cauliflower, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with your favorite cajun seasoning (I like Tony Chachere). Roast at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. :)

Dallas!! (And registered for the FW Zoo Run on 4/2 for the timed 5K!)

Really? No one? :'(

What are some examples of the goals you set? I'm always looking for new mini-goal ideas myself. Like you I have about 15 lbs to lose and I have battled back and forth with them to not much avail!

Feel free to add me! Make it a game - all of it, hunting for recipes to prep on Sunday nights to trying out new activities (paddle boarding, horseback riding, running, cycling) - if they are fun to do (alone or with a friend!) and don't involve a couch, you'll probably burn calories doing it!
-
Done! I eat real food!
-
To RUN the entire 5K I signed up for on 4/2 in 33-34 minutes I hope!

Get your oatmeal fill before it gets too hot! And grits are a good way to feel full (just take it easy with the cheese and butter.

I'm in! 4 lbs by St. Patricks Day. (Isn't much - but I've been struggling with these same 5 lbs for two years. I also signed up for a 5K on April 2, so I want to be completing that in 36 minutes or less by St. Patricks! CW (as of Weight Watchers 2/15/16): 162.2 GW: 158

I can say - I lack the knowledge and confidence. I don't know where to start!

I have had my fitbit Flex for about a year. I like to be have "Challenges" with friends and coworkers and I love that it syncs with MFP and Weight Watchers (I use MFP for the macros). I have noticed that the couple of times I have "taken a break" for a week or two - I really slip up. It's a good physical reminder!!
-
If you're in week 3, I think you'll get to really start seeing the differences in in weeks 4 and 5 when you start to have 5 and 8 minute running intervals. You'll feel it !!!

Try sparkling water. I found I was more 'addicted' to the carbonation than the caffeine (but I drink a ton of coffee. The flavored La Croix waters (or even your supermarket's generic) are a favorite! I now only have maybe 1 soda a week - and I used to be 2-3 a day.

Just stay away from dairy. Stomach ache waiting to happen. (And I've learned this the hard way - sometime's there's only yogurt left in the lunch bag before you hit the gym...)

Except she doesn't seem to look any skinnier. I'd like to see her before and afters!

I have found that I don't have to make last-minute, not-so-great choices when I have controlled ingredients and portions packed in my lunch bag (with snacks too!). I like to spend 2-3 hours on Sunday afternoon making everything.(I also scour Pinterest for ideas!) Here's a few of my favorites: 1) Low-fat homemade meatballs.…

Ditto. And I think I don't want to know what % lean body mass i have... Yikes! (Judging from those pictures)
-
Spaghetti Squash - it's great left over (I love to add frozen meatballs and take it for lunch - or add taco meat and a little cheese and low-fat sour cream!) Yum!

I want to point out to some of those tit-for-tatters -- I don't think ANY of us got to be overweight by eating too many apples or 5 servings of carrots. So be nice!! and @ChristieisReady - Thanks for the handy guide! (Who knew pears have so much sugar!!)
-
It's a true story -- I actually like the taste of mustard-heavy deviled eggs much more than those oozing with mayo. Same goes for potato salad, a mustard-soaked salad = way tastier than spuds swimming in mayo. And I feel like that's saying a lot--I really like mayonnaise.

I;m listening to Huckleberry Finn at work while I type away! And reading The Carrie Diaries on weekends!

We are right about the same current weight with the same goal. It just takes time....the pounds are super slow to come off, ESPECIALLY when you're well under 200 to begin with. Keep at it----the results will come when you least expect it!
