I had my first nexplanon implant inserted about 2 months ago. I have noticed a big increase in my appetite, it's quite hard to manage. I've gained around 4lbs, in part due to being on holiday after easter, but I am starting to think that my intense hunger has got to be related to the implant. I hope it settles down soon.

I like a TMI thread. Especially when they are about poop.

Hi George. I'm happy to help. I need my butt kicking at least once a week. You know how this all works so you just have to take it one day at a time and you'll be hitting goals all over the place. Flissy

I'm still there! Having lost around 20/22, I want to lose around another 10. I find that It's easier for me to think in 2 - 3lb losses at a time. Aim to lose 3 lbs, then have a period of maintenance, then in a few weeks aim to lose another 2 or 3 lbs. I hope this helps, it's still a method in progress for me!

If you're talking about how much to notice a difference, for me it was around the 10lb mark that I started see a difference. But as everyone else had said it might not go from the bits that you want it to go from.

Form Form Form Form!!!! I agree that walterc7's approach is terrible, in fact quite dangerous advice. I agree about asking a trainer, as they can give hints and tips for safe and successful lifting. I started stronglifts 5 weeks ago and yesterday I deadlifted 100kg!!! My form was pretty good, but I am not 100% happy so I…

A deep clean of the house is pretty good exercise! My house has 3 flights of stairs!

No offence taken. But I think it should be a "getting rid of fat buddy", mostly for you and your attitude towards weight loss. Feel free to friend me. I only have around 10lbs to lose, but I will continue to log, and I'm on-line a lot.

Me! I have around 10-12lbs to go, but since I started lifting I'm not sure I care what I weigh any more! :)

Great advice here from everyone. Firstly you've already shown that you want to try to lose weight by joining MFP. Well done. Now just start taking small steps towards your goals. Logging and weighing food really worked for me, it changed how I feel about eating certain foods - it's not that I don't eat/drink them now I…

I'm 5'3 and around 152lbs and 33 years old, aiming to get to 140. I'm UK based and female. I lift heavy things and do yoga mostly for exercise.

So inspiring! Well done.

Hi. I have/had a similar problem. Sometimes you have to retrain your glutes to activate. I'll dig out my physio notes/exercises from last year for you. They are at home though. It's also called glute re-education. Or see a sports physio perhaps. Mine now work!!!! They are still weak, but I can't tell you how awesome it is…

You can look in my diary. I eat around 1350 - 1450 a day. Normally. But I do 5:2 fasting as well, so some days will only be 500 - 600 calories.
-
My top tip - Don't expect the pounds that you gained over 2 years to disappear in a few days, it is a slow process you won't lose 15 lbs over night. BUT losing 15lbs (when you are overweight) feels awesome and it is worth the effort.

My last fast day. Nak'd bar and black coffee - 102 calories Scrambled eggs (3 medium eggs) with wholemeal toast - 270 calories. Steamed Broccoli (100 - 150g) with garlic and chilli and a teaspoon of olive oil - usually around 90 calories - with added bacon takes it to around 150 calories. Total - 522 cals Today's FD has…

Thats Sijomial. Today is a fast day and I did a pretty intense (for me) lower body weights session at lunch time and I think I've had around 550 today - but that's it now! I felt good whilst working out which is reassuring.

I find the "Just for today" concept works for me. i.e. Just for today I am going to eat within my calorie goal. Do it once, then do it again, and again. It is OK to crave those things and in fact to eat those things. Just remember we're all human and we want to enjoy life. Don't beat yourself up, this is a journey and…

Waaaaaa! I have this. Well I hope that's what this current hunger is! Fingers crossed it ends tomorrow!

Thanks Karen_DisneyFan. I have dabbled with 5:2 in the past and I always drink about 70 ounces of water (2 litres), and peppermint tea, and haven't suffered headaches yet. I'll go to the gym tonight (weights tonight) and see what happens!

Thanks Lounmoun.

Thanks for all the feedback. I don't have time right now to respond to everyone. But it's really useful and I am inspired to get back into a deficit/ I guess I know deep down that I have to become more consistent but it's really not in my nature. I'm a spontaneous type. I'm not sure I want to stop being like that so I…
