Good for you! I am a breast cancer survivor (1 yr.) and came back to myfitnesspal too. Start slow and gradually your strength will come back. Take care and do for yourself. No one can fight this battle for you and you matter. This is your time to take care of you and not everyone else first!

Lol! That's the hardest exercise!

I love pizza and gave it up and lost weight. The other day, my daughter asked me to pick up a Costco pepperoni pizza. My intent was to eat only one slice....but I ate two. The next day, I weighed in and had gained two pounds! I tried the cauliflower crust and it was a lot of work and not the same as a real crust! I'm going…

No, you are not the selfish one, he is. You gave him well in advance notice. He's not being supportive of you. Leave him home and take a good friend or sister and have a great time. And then seriously, think if you want to spend your life with him. It may be hard in the beginning, but you'll thank yourself when you find…

Be happy you are doing great eating clean and exercising and not gaining! I wish I could be that disciplined and eat clean and 1200 calories. You should be proud and keep up the good work!

My dog, Niner who just turned 1 year old and weighs 92.5 lbs! Love this monster!

I was losing hair and I started taking fish oil supplements 2/day and my hair has gotten thicker. I also don't eat under 1200 calories /day so I think if you eat anything less than that, it effects your body.

LoL! We can't eat anything!

Yum! Now I want lumpia! 10 is the minimum.

I'm set for 1200 calories a day and find it extremely hard to stay within that range. I usually go over, but don't get too upset because it is still lower than what I was eating before I started and still makes me accountable.

I agree. You are so fortunate to have gym membership and all those training sessions! You paid for it.....Don't waste it. The trainer is there to help you, not judge you. It should make them feel good to see you succeed....otherwise they aren't good.

I love food too! That is the problem. I should eat to live, not live to eat!

I have the book and tried it for three weeks. I did lose some and felt better, but had A hard time not drinking coffee and cutting mostly carbs. I think it's good for a jump start, but hard long term.

I did my best while I was pregnant too. No caffeine, no junk, just healthy foods. I think it's because you feel responsible for someone else's life and don't want to hurt anyone. It's okay when it's just yourself, not when it's your baby! LOL! I should think pregnant all the time!

Maybe you are just tired. You should do something for yourself! Buy a new outfit, shoes, get a haircut. Go to lunch with an uplifting friend! Learn a new language, read a new book! Find something to bring out your inner joy! The holidays can be very stressful and depressing, so you need to surround yourself with positive…

Walking, lungeing and squats and of course, eating healthy always helps. It worked for my friend!

If I hadn't seen you in a year, I would have told you," you look great!" Be very proud of yourself. What an accomplishment! Don't let people disappoint you. I do and next thing I know, I'm eating to comfort myself!

I gained 3 pounds! Why is it so hard to take off and so easy to put on?

I've struggled all my life with weight issues and family trying to help, but not really helping. It almost feels like they say things to upset me and sabotage my efforts by telling me what I can and cannot eat. You need to be strong and do this for yourself! Go to the library and get books about nutrition. Get recipes and…

That was beautifully written.

I am 56 and still struggling with the inner "fat" kid. I was a big kid in elementary school and kids teased me all the time. When I graduated from college and finally lost enough weight and felt good enough to wear a belt on a dress to go out to dinner, my mother took one look at me and asked, "you aren't going to wear…

You sound just like me! I love pizza and food! Food is my happiness. I had to learn portion control and I didn't give up anything, but try to stay within my healthy food groups and limits. If I have popcorn with butter or a cookie, I don't beat myself up like I used to and give up. I just realize I needed it (wanted it)…

I find that after dinner, I cannot be in the kitchen area or I will start to graze and look for that "something else" to eat. I try to floss and brush my teeth and go to my room to read ....anywhere else....just stay away from the food!

I'm thinking about getting a fitbit. Did you get the wrist one and are you happy with it?
