hes not my baby...its my nephew...that picture was in november...my hair has lost half its length since that pic...and ive not dyed it since august...the breakage has just started again in december....it happened the same time last year as well and ive not lost any weight since march of last year

Have you had your vitamin D level checked recently? That it seems to be happening each year in December stood out to me-a vitamin D deficiency can cause hair breakage/loss and that could correlate with colder temps/not being outside during the winter time (if you live in an area that has colder winters). Many people are D deficient and don't know it, and that can get worse during the winter time. A simple blood test will tell you your number and it's an easy fix, with either a prescription for D or an over the counter, higher D3 vitamin.

Eta: a D deficiency could also cause issues with weight loss-here's a thread from a while ago about it

I was losing hair and I started taking fish oil supplements 2/day and my hair has gotten thicker. I also don't eat under 1200 calories /day so I think if you eat anything less than that, it effects your body.

First, I'm sorry to hear of your problem. Second, congrats on the healthy choices you've made part of you!

I don't know if these help, but here are some links of resources that I have been finding helpful.
    - Why Weight Loss Can Be So Difficult (http://mariamindbodyhealth.com/why-weight-loss-can-be-so-difficult-and-success/)
    - Leptin (our appetite-suppressing hormone can be off) - http://www.pinterest.com/pin/87327680248510010/
    - Hair Loss - some possible causes - http://mariamindbodyhealth.com/french-silk-pie-and-hair-loss/

I have also been going to someone who can do muscle response testing. She's identified various nutrients that I've been lacking in and what systems in my body have needed help via supplements and diet. One thing that is important to note is that, if our organs or bodies are struggling, it is possible for us to take supplements and get nutrition into our bodies BUT our bodies can't absorb what we're giving them. Thus, I have found it very helpful to have her assistance.

If you have any questions about it, feel free to private message me. I am passionate about nourishing my body and sharing what I'm learning with others.

Again, I'm so sorry to hear of this scary thing.
