  • The 500 calorie figure is what I've found online too. However, I'm exclusively nursing my 4 month old twins, does anyone know if I should add in 500 for EACH of them, or something between 500 and 1,000? I like the idea of adding it into the exercise though, I think I'll try that especially since they are starting to eat…

  • Thanks guys! He will likely not go to the dr. to check anything out, especially since he says he feels fine. It was the machine beeping that his heart rate was too high, if my heart rate monitor wasn't pink, I'd make him wear it next time to check! Maybe I'll get him one of his own if he wants to keep working out!…
  • Hey everybody, I actually have a question from my husband. We were both at the gym today (him for the first time in several years, although he does have a pretty physically demanding job) and I asked him how it was. He said that it was fine, but that the machine kept beeping at him that his heart rate was too high. I asked…
  • Sorry, no idea either. I'm looking into getting the HRM and I'd like to know too. Help us please!
  • I know what you mean amijay about being hungry. I don't have as far to go as you do, but when I first started my goal was 1640 too, and I was STARVING! It was hit or miss every day as to whether I would be under my goal. Then after a couple or 3 weeks, suddenly I was under all the time and looking around for a snack to…
  • I second the string cheese idea. Also: Weight Watchers vanilla yogurt (best yogurt I've ever had!) sugar free rice pudding, can add a dollop of light cool whip 1/2 cup of hot milk with sugar free vanilla syrup, a little splenda, some cinnamon POPCORN! whole wheat toast with spray butter and sugar free preservatives, or…
  • I know how you feel! My mom has made a couple of comments lately that she can really tell I've been working out more, my clothes look better and stuff. This really means a lot coming from her, she tends to be very pessimistic and critical of just about *anything* I choose, or am doing in my life. So, YAY for uplifting…
  • Welcome! I also love how easy everything is here! Good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome and good luck! I am also trying to lose "baby weight", although my baby is 3, and I *did* get to my pre-baby weight last summer! :grumble: Now I'm trying to get in better shape before we have another one that we are planning on this year, so keep it up, I know you can do it!
  • Welcome! I felt exactly the same way when I joined 2 months ago, and I am still soooo happy I'm here! Before, I feel like I did a lot of "mindless eating", grab a bite of this here, bite there and now I don't because I don't want to log it! I also did not realize just how many calories the food I had was adding up to, no…

  • My screen name is really random. When I was creating my first email account on aol I couldn't think of anything, so I was looking around the room for inspiration. I saw this little picture frame my husband (then my boyfriend) had given me with these little hearts engraved around the border. The numbers are just what aol…
  • I'm just testing mine too! :) Yay! It worked!

  • I have had that problem too. What has been helping for me is having *designated* days during the week to go to the gym. My days are Monday and Wednesday. I have a 3 year old daughter, so I know those are the two days I am definitely not going to be the person to pick her up from daycare, and I'll have plenty of time to…
  • Hi mom! Danielle and I are really liking it here- I hope you do too! :glasses:

  • I am just saying hi to everyone. I found this site by accident and I am really liking it! I have never kept a food diary before just because it has always been too much work, but this is so easy! :) Already I'm paying more attention to what and how much I eat and my calorie average has gone down 100 calories from my first…
