  • The activity is just your "normal" daily activity. I manage a dry-cleaners, so it's light active. I add in my running when I do it.
  • This seems to be what I figured would be the right answer. I also have my MFP at me losing a pound a week. I don't really NEED to lose any, maybe 5 pounds still, but my ticker at the bottom is from the last time I was tracking all this years ago. I have it set that way so I don't over eat, which is sometimes typical while…
  • I already eat an oz. of nuts per day, I've come across different articles claiming you shouldn't overdo it with them, at MOST 3 oz. per day, and that's alot of nuts!
  • Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! It was beautiful in Minnesota, perfect yard work weather, and it was snowing 2 weeks ago, crazy! I had a good weekend, 3 hours of raking and bagging leaves Sat., 30+ bags to the compost, lot of work. I ran w/ my group yesterday, a little over 6 mi., though w/ them…
  • Okay, slowing down now, still where I was yesterday, and that with going out to eat for dinner, but I only drank water, had a filet, veggies, and garlic mashed (1/2), so yummy dinner, but not super rich or indulgent. I also went out w/ my running group for the first time since the Great River Relay in August. I ran a…
  • Okay, down another .4 this morning for a total of 6.6 since Monday, totally water weight though, no secret here, had a terrible weekend w/ Halloween candy, parties, etc., but got back on track Monday morning. Raking the yard for the last 2 hours, so lots of exercise today! Great job everyone, pounds and inches lost! And…
  • Yay Supermom!!! You'll do great! And like I said, I'm not even following her specific diet, just eating clean (Tosca Reno, 'nother good book!). It's really an intense workout, takes about 45 minutes, but it's only 4x per week! Maybe we'll get another joiner or 2 by Monday, fingers crossed!
  • According to my husband, I was a brick $h!thouse!!! I had so much definition in arms, shoulders, back, chest, and I actually had a six-pack! I have a hard time following videos, have to leave my house, I have 30 day shred, but like my book even more, it's an amazing workout.
  • Well it's only 3, but I've had a crazy exercise day already, I went to yoga this morning (1 hr.), a friend called and needed a venting walk ( 2 mi.), ran w/ a neighbor (3 mi.), then another walk w/ neighbor and dogs (2 mi.). Will be doing family yard work tomorrow, whole yard full of leaves (20+bags probably) to rake and…
  • Swim, really, go swimming, deep water running too, seriously, if you're only at 13 miles, if it's not a major injury, if you keep up the cardio hours to mimic running you'll be fine. If your Doc says no running the race after all tests come back, then listen, but you can still keep up your training. I've run 5 marathons, I…
  • Good morning! Down .4, for a total of 6.2 since Monday, I'm feeling great (water, water, but I don't care, I'm a super-bloater). Planning on trying a core class today at the club, followed by yoga. Have an easy run planned w/ a neighbor later this afternoon, beautiful day for it here! Hope everyone gets their workouts in,…
  • Ran 3 again today, wanted to go to yoga, but doesn't look like that will happen, crabbiness abound!!! Ate well, made this awesome WW cuban brisket, OMG was it good, and easy, well a few different steps throughout the day, but I thought all together easy. I ended up about 60 over my calories, but it was all good, healthy…
  • Okay, down another .8 this morning, what motivation, even if it is still water weight!!! I might even be under 160 by Sunday!!! I ate well yesterday, and lifted in the morning, had inspiration to run, but napped instead (hey, sleep is important too!), had later inspiration to do a spinning class, but lost that quickly…
  • I switch from salad to roasted veggies in the fall, I make a big dish and eat that for the week as my main veggie side, the high cooking temp carmelizes everything. I usually throw whatever I have in, but here's a "recipe" any bell peppers 1-2 large onion garlic cloves 2-3 zucchini yellow squash asparagus even a sweet…
  • Dump soup (cuz' all you do is dump in the stuff from the cans) This is an old WW recipe. This doesn't necessarily need to go in the crock-pot as all ingredients are already cooked, dump all together and heat, super easy and tasty! each can undrained: 1 can shoepeg corn 1 can veg-all 2 can diced tomatoes (if you can find…
  • extra tasty w/ a sprinkly of pine nuts, and if you got it some fresh garlic, sauteed w/ spinach...
  • I try to stay away from those cream soup recipes, but every now and then find one I love, yours sounds yummy! Funny thing, I've got one in the crock-pot now: 6 chicken breasts (cut up into chunks) 1 can cheese soup (recipe calls for monteray jack cheese but couldn't find that and got fiest nacho) 1/2 c. chunky salsa 1/8 t.…
  • Great job everyone! I'm trying to read up to get everyone's story. Down another pound today (still water), makes losing 10 in November a little easier  Lifted with a neighbor this morning, so just need a run later, or a walk, we'll see. Planning all meals, hardboiled some eggs, cut veggies, made 13 bean chili and…
  • I am 33, live in Twin Cities, MN, 3 kids, run marathons, and that doesn't mean I'm in great shape, I'm not, I train like crazy, then give everything up but the food and I've gained 20 lbs. in the last year, and haven't been running until recently. I love how my body looks when I'm lifting weights regularly, even now I can…
  • Yay! Found motivation to run, it was hiding under the bed! 3 miles in the woods w/ my doggie, beautiful! Is there anyway to start a new thread daily so by the end of the first week we're not hashing through like 200 posts??? Maybe like: New Body November Week 1/day 1 etc.??? If not, that's okay, just…
  • Did well yesterday, even eating out (w/ wine), I have standing dinner Mondays w/ a neighbor. Went for 2 mile walk after w/ dogs. I was down 4 lbs. today (ALL water weight from the crappy weekend), and feel good. Husband down 3+ lbs. too. Today, so far, so good, but tired, no motivation to go running yet.
  • Me too, need some motivation, I've gained 20 lb's in the last year, and need to start with that, but mostly stop the yo-yo-ing. My husband and I are both shooting for 10 lbs. lost in Novemeber, the first 10 is always the easiest, right? I'm going to rehydrate myself today, not a lot of water this weekend, too much alcohol…
  • I've got a recipe (WW) for a Monteray Jack Turkey Burger, and everyone LOVES it, let me know if you want it.
  • Dinner Chicken wild rice soup (a broth one, clean ingredients, but store bought) 1 c. green beans 1 apple, but I threw almost 1/2 away because of mushy spots (trying to eat everything perishable before we leave in the morning! Mexico here we come!!! Have a good week everybody!!!
  • Lunch Veggie burrito 1/4 c. salsa Snack 100 calorie popcorn 6 dried apricots
  • I love hummus too, but those damn chickpeas have so little nutritional value!!! I make a roasted garlic white bean dip, same consistency as hummus, that is sooooo good, and it's a WW recipe, only CLEAN ingredients! That's one of the things I do like about WW, they don't use too many fake ingredients in their recipes.
  • I'll have to look for the ketchup and that smoked tomato dressing sounds wonderful! Last night snack~5 dried apricots 12/11 Breakfast 2 c. water 20 oz. coffee 2 pieces Ezekiel cinnamon/raisin bread 1 T. smart balance spread 1/2 c. FF french vanilla yogurt 1/2 c. blueberries
  • Dinner 1 Portabella burger (morningstar) 1 Joseph's small pita (burger fits right inside, how convenient!) onion slices 2 T. ketchup, probably not "clean", but I can't eat a burger w/o it!!! 1 clementine
