Hey Paula, you did a great thing by joining MFP. If the fantastic people on here can't motivate, support and advise you then I'll eat my hat, with ketchup of course. Let me just say a few facts about changing your lifestyle. You don't have to eat less, you just have to eat smart. Within a few days of really watching what…

Hi there, I'm 6'3" and have already lost the bulk of my weight, but I saw your thread and want to point you toward this thread posted earlier. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/555277-big-men Lots of guys there at various stages of progress. Take a look and add some friends in a similar place. All the best.

6'3" tall, starting weight was 286lbs. I lost 60 lbs in 8 months counting calories and working out. Easy as that! I've been floating around 230lbs for the past few months and have changed my workout from intense cardio/fatburn to toning and weights. I dropped from a 42" waist to a 34" which is my favourite NSV to date.

ROFL, I agree. You can't beat a really deep shag in a carpet.

How about a big old bowl of porridge? I have 100g oats with 300ml skimmed milk and thats 470cals. Boost that number with a healthy fruit topping to sweeten it up.

That's a wonderful story! He's sounds like a great guy. You're both lucky to have what you have with each other.

Olivia Newton-John in the early 80's. I still have a thing for her now...

I started getting fit at 39 but ruptured my quadriceps tendon in an accident and spent my 40th birthday on crutches! So I had to wait until I healed enough to train again. I'm 41 now and not looking back! Good luck!
-
Understood! But I'll carry on the rest of this week. I just need to cut out the sugar I've been eating which really doesnt help my energy levels.
-
Ok, so I'm sorry I didn't get to train the last 2 days, Sunday was a much needed rest day, but Monday I felt pants so skipped the gym. TBH I feel a bit burnt out, and I'll be glad when this race is over. I'm changing my routine from cardio to weights as I aim to build up a bit. Lately I've been alternating between both,…

I think you need to draw a line under last week and start again. You seem guilty for overindulging but don't let that be a reason to carry on doing it this week, it''s easy to get into a vicious circle! Whether you gain or not, focus on this week and plan your meals and gym time if you can. Above all, keep on logging! It…

Hey Rick, I'm Craig from Essex, UK. I've been on the App for a year and lost 60lbs. My advice; keep logging, even if you go over cals. Add me if you like, I try to be very supportive to my MFP friends. All the best.

I had it on my legs a few times when I killed the elliptical. It's not nice!

I'm taking a break from that kitchen fit, it's 95% done. I've relied on it for my burn this week, but managed a couple of small gym sessions too. I'm off now for 5 days so I want to cane the gym, get my food back on track (I've been eating convenient builders food lol) and generally have a good week off. Hope you all have…

Hello my name is Craig and I am addicted to going to the gym, my iphone, bread pudding and haribos!

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking to tone now I've lost most of my weight. I saw that the 6 week 6 pack doesnt use a lot of situps or crunches to give results. Is this true? I have lower back problems and don't want to aggravate it.

Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love. The guitar riff at the start is rockin'! Sometimes I just let it ring without picking it up it's so awesome.

I'm reading Crossfire by Andy McNab in hardback. Weighs a ton in my rucksack!

This sounds like problem and the solution! Nice input. I'll try tennis shoes instead of running shoes on the elliptical to see it it helps me, thanks.

Hi folks, what happened to yesterday's burns? Not many posted on the spreadsheet. I'm having a rest day today due to my knee & back aching, I've only logged my daily station walk. Keep up the good work Vikings!
-
Sorry I've slacked off due to the cold! I'm not eating right and not motivated to train. I've upped my cals to deal with that and I plan burnage! I added my walk from yesterday to the spreadsheet. Call me tesco, every little helps. I'll try the gym tonight and get back on it! x

Hi peeps, I've made today my rest day as I couldnt get to the gym for a few reasons. But rest assured, I'm going to steam it for the week ahead. Keep it up, my hard rockin' amigos! x
