You can buy nutrional yeast flakes which add a bit of protein to meals. I like them sprinkled on soup but you can mix them in with most dishes. Learn how to make a good tofu meal you love. I know its a hit or miss food. I don't struggle to get protein as vegan but I do like to make sure I have plenty to fill me up so I…

Are you breastfeeding? Don’t forget that burns around 300 cals a day so don’t go under your calorie allowance or you might start storing fat. I’m still breastfeeding (she’s 21 months) - going to be such a shock when I lose those extra calories!!

Manchester and have an open food diary so keen to make new friends who also have theirs open

Hi. I’m freelance so I work from home once my toddler goes to sleep (I’m a single mum so I only get a break to do anything then). I’m also studying an MA part time. Daytimes I’m home all day or at playgroups etc. Clingy toddler means it’s very difficult to cook half the time as she just wants cuddles so finding it’s a case…

This is my third proper attempt. First tome I lost 50lbs and got to my goal. Second time after I put it all back on again I lost about a stone. Back now at my almost heaviest and going to stick to it and not allow one bad day lead to a week lead to a month lead to...9 years (when I was at my goal) Gone vegan this time too…

I have an open diary so feel free to add me if you want to see my meals. I’m almost totally vegan but I don’t like the idea of restricting myself so I sometimes allow myself some fish or cheese, rarely but I don’t beat myself up about it if I have it. I also gained my weight after the birth...she’s 2 in May and need to…

I love having more friends in here too as it really motivates me. I have an open diary. I’ll add you.

I just wrote a massive reply and then deleted it by mistake! I'm 35, single mum to a 21 month old, have a lifelong issue with overeating and I'm trying to work cooking healthy meals around working freelance and studying an MA. If you want to add me I have an open diary so might provide some ideas. Basically I prepare meals…

I feel the same if I have a cheat meal, however I work my food so that my dinner is pretty much a treat anyway (albeit not pizza but a really good size portion of something I enjoy). Also, I'd prefer to be bale to snack through the day than save those calories for a blowout.

Yes. I am obsessed with eating and always have been. Even times when I’m eating I think that I’m full but I have to finish what I’m eating and I still made room for pudding. It’s a lifelong issue so trying to get healthy is incredibly difficult. The last tine I actually lost weight my obsession was still there but it…

Gosh broad bean and quinoa bites are a nice kind of falafel, about 35 cals per piece and great dipped in hummus. They’re vegan but taste quite eggy almost, very tasty. Also loving mulberries (the only dried fruit I can bear really), abs have discovered the raw chocolate company chocolate covered mulberries, also vegan.…

I get jumbo oats rather than oatmeal. Much tastier and fill me up more. I have just under half a cup and soak them overnight in the fridge in some oat or almond milk with a handful of blueberries and raspberries and a tablespoon of chia seeds. In the morning I heat it up and add either a bit of honey, a dash of unsweetened…

Lentils! Also I am vegan (ish) but the nutritional yeast flakes that vegans typically have are a good mini protein hit. I sprinkle a tablespoon on soup.
