Happy Friday everyone!
My week has gone good so far, no change in weight but after the 3 lb loss last week I am okay with that for now. I have done my running in the mornings (all 5 days) and my lunch time walks (again all 5 days).
So it looks as though I have to make new treats this weekend , NOT apple as my pups are way to fussy for their own good (spoiled little poop-head fir balls!!! ) & would not eat the apple oat treats, so I gave them to our neighbor & her dogs just loved them.
Lana~ Great job on your walking!! oh & please send one of those diet police over to me for the weekends...hahaha Don't suppose you caught the Collage basketball game in NC last night? I want to go to NC just to watch Duke play...sigh...maybe one day!
Oh I have a puppy story...my little Thumbelina has a baby (this baby is a little stuffed horse my mom bought her when she was just a pup & my mom would press the middle & it sings so of course my mom would sing along with the song to her) Well Thumbelina carries it around & you know when she has it because she snorts & snorts and when she thinks no one is looking she will hide it...all I have to do is ask her where her baby is and she will bring it out within a day or two. She used to hide it under my moms rocking chair, in the rocking chair while my mom was sleeping or behind the tv in the living room and after my mom passed she had many times propped it up in front of her bedroom door. So lately I have been noticing she waits until I fall asleep and will hide her baby either in my blanket or under my pillow, under my arm even somewhere on my bed! My BF says it is so funny watching her trying to hide it and if he tries to stop her she give him this look as to say why what's your problem & lay down on top of it like she wasn't doing anything.
Tes~ I hope you feel better soon!
Have a great relaxing weekend!!

Great story! Dogs make everything so much better!0 -
It's way past my bedtime, but I was reading all the recent posts. Saltine's story is so cute.
I am so looking forward to having dogs. Maybe by this time next year!
The Magic Swatters are on order.

SATURDAY
Good morning,
Up with dog who is fed and happy. Back for more sleep. Woke to alarm, having an "I am late" dream. Roll my eyes.
Regular errands and then hook up with coworker. She goes to another thrift store in opposite direction of the one I go to, so she wants to see this one - if we go again we can go to hers. I am not a good driver in high traffic times and she was nice enough to offer to drive. We live about 15 minutes apart. Jeans and spoons on list but keeping an open mind.

This is my third proper attempt. First tome I lost 50lbs and got to my goal. Second time after I put it all back on again I lost about a stone. Back now at my almost heaviest and going to stick to it and not allow one bad day lead to a week lead to a month lead to...9 years (when I was at my goal)
Gone vegan this time too and I’ve found it’s helping massively with cravings...though I’m only one week in!
Plan this time is to get lean and strong when I hit my goal so I can enjoy a nice flat tummy before I’m too old to flaunt it!2 -
Good evening,
Thrift store shopping went well, lady who drove liked the places would like to go earlier (her time schedule today). I got a top I can wear to work and 6 spoons for $5. Went to Target as well and we both found tops.
Messed up my eating schedule and I am having oatmeal for dinner. Ginger / Lemon tea afterwards.
Got snacks (much of it "junk ish") as well. Will make chicken chili tomorrow and quiche for next week.
Troels - I sometimes think I talk to myself on weekends. Thank you for stopping by - I have people at work starting a vegan life and I hope to learn about it. Stop by and post when you can.
3 hearts made and still working on scarf- will knit baby blankets tonight.
Wishing all a good night.1 -
SUNDAY
Good morning,
Domestic day for me - cooking and cleaning - after grocery shopping.
Dog fed, so ZZZ with any luck.

Good morning all~~
Full day of Must Dos here today. Raining and cold. Blech!
Sara, enjoy your cooking. Warm kitchen with good smells. Mmmmm.
Troels - good luck with your goals!
Waves to all who stop by later.

245.5 today, official day, down from harrowing 248.2 earlier in the week, which I couldn't bear to post. This is a weekly loss of .6 from last Sunday. Yay.

Crock pot on and I have enough chicken to make next weeks salads as well so I have a 'no chicken' on my grocery list.
Took a long walk with dog, so I see a nap with both of us.
Missy - Thinner they are rolled they puff up in the oven and are crisper.... just saying. You have a full plate - stop by when you can - walking more with/without dog is on my "to do" list.
bbl2 -
Hi there Missy! So good to see you! Glad you could stop by. Thumbs up on the small wedding. Smart choice, less headaches, more enjoyment.
Sara - Hurray for the long walk with Tillie. Good for the both of you!
Lana, collapsing soon to watch something on Netflix.....2 -
Good evening,
Dog has had dinner, my dinner is warming in crockpot - 3 servings for salads are in containers cooling. Quiche and potatoes after dinner. One of the tops I got yesterday under $7 dollars is burgundy and a good color for Valentine's day.
We did get a nap after our walk and the sun is shining for a little while in my place heating things up? Just nice to see sun - very windy.
I am with Lana - smaller weddings are less crazy - Missy hope yours does not inflate to craziness.
Wishing all a good night.2 -
Lana - I will be mailing card - look for it end of week.
Have a note "no chicken" on grocery list as I have enough cooked chicken for next week's salads.
Off to sleep with Miss T - *snapping fingers at Cboys for night cap and dog treats.1 -
MONDAY
Good morning, up .6 - knowing my eating this week, that is a gift.....
Dog up and fed. Hoping for more zzz before dog walking.
QOTD: What are you working on this week to be in better health?
AOTD: Being sugar overload Valentine's Day on Wednesday, I think I will focus on walking and keeping the sugar away as much as I can.

troels - my DD has been vegan for nearly 15 years now. (even avoids honey, anything leather, any hair products with keratin/proteins, etc) if you have any questions, am sure i could get an answer from her for you.
saltine - such an adorable dog story! Thumbelina sounds so cute!
Missy - good to hear from you! sounds like you have an action packed year. Have fun planning the wedding and do what you want to do to make it enjoyable for you. After all you & soon-to-be DH will be the main attraction!
Sara - I use a similar dog treat recipe using banana instead of pumpkin. Discovered I can use a shot glass instead of cookie cutter to get right size treat. I have to make plenty and give to all the neighbors so they will feed those to Callahan instead of human food when he goes to visit. They tend to spoil him rotten!
AOTD: Getting back into routine of walking with co-workers at end of day. I found I actually missed it while sick. Need to get back to that good habit! (and learn to meal plan like Sara!)
DH birthday was Saturday. Ended up having 3 parties over the course of the weekend - one neighbors, one family, one Jeep club. I only had cake at the last one.
Got invite from Chip Gnassi to come up to tour the garage & see all the cars. (Can't believe its already time to start gearing up for race month here again!) Will be a nice change of pace, if work doesn't get too crazy and I have to miss it.
Is anyone giving up anything for Lent? I am going to try the 40 days-40 bags challenge. Each day pull something out of my closet or cabinets and fill a grocery bag (or garbage bag depending on how large it is) to donate. At end of 40 days will end up with more room in the closets and a more organized kitchen (at least that is the theory!)

Hi Everybody~~
It's a stupid-busy day today. Too much cramming in activities into a one-week stay up in NYC. Trying to be very mindful at all meals that are not the social-biggies, so as to balance out those social meals.
AOTD: Resisting junky sugary food, or at least keeping it down to a dull roar.
Maybe BBL....
Lana1 -
Kathryn, I need to dejunk so that may be a good way to start - dont have 40 bags at home (use fabric bags) but anything is better than nothing......1
-
Good evening,
Crawling home and will get under covers soon with dog - sinus headache and so much work to do at work. Yikes eyes are rolling backwards.
Quiche for dinner. I will call the eye doctor tomorrow to see if it is true that I may not need to wait for pcp apt to get an eye apt as I have an eye specialist chronic issue- we shall see. My coworker who has driven me in the past is willing to as well and will shop for phones online with me. She brought cheese and nuts for snacks with extra fruit. Good girl - she has a bride's gown as a motivation.
Dejunked desk where computer is and will keep going a little each day so I dont throw something out in haste.
Wave to all who follow. Cabana boys are serving hot drinks tonight - spiked or not is your choice. Aromatherapy stones that are heated to help calm your day also on the menu. I may just opt for the hot chocolate.....
Good night.1 -
Hi all - Happy Monday!
Missy, so good to hear from you! Wedding planning can be fun or stressful - you’re smart to keep it manageable.
Kathryn, sounds like you’re feeling more like yourself! Hope you continue to improve from the flu.
Sara, sorry to hear about the sinus headache- take care of yourself. Nasty viruses out there....
Lana, good luck with all you’re trying to get done in NYC. Be good to yourself - the NC C-boys are despondent without you.
I’m finally feeling like myself again - that awful exhaustion seems to have finally gone away. So my AOTD is to get back into my exercise routine. Went back to the gym today and started with a short cardio workout. Felt so good after being away for 2+ weeks.
Troels, welcome!
Waves to all. Back to the Olympics and maybe some knitting.

TUESDAY
Good morning,
Dawn - using the rose/lavender/chamomile essential oil to help sleep with my sinus headache. We got strong winds this weekend.....
Tess- so glad you are feeling human again. Slowly get back on the exercise path. Any Cboy candidates in the Olympic coverage? My TV is only for watching dvds.
Oatmeal is ready. Cafe for lunch today, so getting ready for work is easy. Taking second top as I am not sure how new top will feel all day long. I sometimes take a second top when I get a new one. Just in case it itches etc.

hello everyone. This group is amazing how do I join. So much fun and easy to talk to. I just started ww and a little nervous. Very slow weight loss plus to be honest I am not a very diligent person. Love my food and drinks. My bad. Need to start focusing on weight loss and healthy eating.1

Happy Tuesday~~
Hellos to Sara and Tess and Kathryn and Dawn and Missy and Saltine~~
Annie - how are you doing?
Kristina Marie?
RSamuels?
Welcome to anyone new, lurking around. Come in and say hello~~
Today is the one sunny day this week, although it certainly has gotten colder. My plan is to bundle up, run some errands, and get that walking in!
Yesterday's little soirée with my upstairs neighbors went well. Lots of rich food, but not too much of any of it.
Tonight is dinner with friend/a supervisor from work. Will find a chicken/salad or fish for entree.
Sara - I hope that your headache is gone.

Have a new "standing desk" installed in my office. Its a big monstrosity but it is nice to stand every once in a while. Its fully adjustable to any height which makes it pretty comfortable to type and read monitors. I read that standing burns 0.15 calories per minute, on average, compared with sitting. So an extra 9 calories per hour. Every little bit helps, right?!2
-
Times - you join when you post, this is an open board. Welcome.
Kathryn, we have people who have the standing desks and are helpful. These are the same people who do not walk their breaks, but I digress. Neurologically being able to stand for part of your work day is good.
Lana - sending extra cboys tokens - enjoying yourself mindfully - good girl.
At work lurking like crazy. bbl.1 -
Somehow I missed the new page when I posted earlier.
Welcome to Times!

Got an eye apt and pcp apt next month so I dont have to wait as long as I feared. Phew.
Hot, strong, good coffee on the way - cboys on bicycles!!1 -
times - Hi! jump right in!
Sara - please, have one of the Cboys bring a chai or hot chocolate for me. i dont drink coffee!
Picking up new glasses tomorrow. Progressive lenses. Have heard they take some time to adjust to. Will probably be prancing around like a pony lifting my legs way up when i walk if the floor looks closer to me... LOL
Got my walking workout in at work today. However, found it hard to breathe at one point, and couldn't make it the entire 2 miles. Had to stop at the 1 mile point in the workout. Feel completely out of shape. Will have to work my way back up to 2 miles again.4 -
At work briefly -
Kathryn - Chai Latte for you - wish the cafe made them but then I would be out $$$. You have been ill, ease yourself into walking, you will make your 2 miles again soon enough.2 -
Good evening,
At home, work was a serious headache maker - boss has been out sick but sending "get this done asap" emails. She has an eye issue -stye - so now 7 work days later and still at home..... coworker said today she bets boss will be gone tomorrow as well, I will owe her some good chocolate if she is right.
Have a burgundy top from Target I got Saturday to wear tomorrow with a couple heart necklaces someone from another department gave me. Seems my preference to make hearts for Chemotherapy patients has black balled me from getting valentine's day goodies from coworkers - my response involves up to 2 fingers - left or right one first??
Quiche for dinner and then some knitting. Wave to all who follow. Find comfort where you can that is not food.1 -
