This is almost exactly my story as well, except I have a 3 year old daughter. It hasn't been easy, that is for sure, but ultimately all of our lives are better because we live in happier environments.

Since the age of 20 every guy I've dated I have met on online dating sites. Perhaps I need to venture elsewhere since that really hasn't worked out for me so far.

First, congrats on your success! 100 pounds is a huge accomplishment :) Second, I understand! I'm down 80 pounds since October of 2012, but have only lost around 10 pounds since November of last year. The hardest part for me is I just get tired of logging. So I take a few days off from logging and eat way too many…

You're not alone and this weight loss roller coaster is a struggle for all of us at one point or another. Like you, I sometimes feel that I'm just always going to be large. Now, granted, I have lost 80 pounds, but that has been a long and slow process (started in October 2012). Some days I feel since I'm not where I want…

I've done my fair share of online dating while being a size 12/14. I'm honest in my description of myself and included full body photos. I never had issues finding guys to date, so this isn't a universal guy issue. However, if your weight is making you feel insecure and act insecure, the guy will pick up on that…

Forced week off after injuring my toe (who drops a blender on their foot?!). I haven't been able to wear anything other than flip flops since last weekend. Hoping to try some real shoes and the gym tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

This is one of the best things I've read all day.

I did a few SL sessions over the long holiday weekend, but my phone was out of commission so I didn't track. Injured my foot on Saturday night and still can't really put weight on it so I'll be forced to take a few days off. Trying to balance lifting with training for my sprint tri is starting to wear on me a bit. I did a…

A fancy drink at a swanky hotel bar in London. I was 18 and didn't care about that pesky exchange rate.

6/30 workout: Last night was the first time I wasn't able to use a squat rack at the gym. We only have two and they were both in use by people training in pairs. I did my workout out of order in hopes they'd open up, but no such luck. I improvised as best I could. Squat (goblet) 5x5 @80lbs OHP (using dumbells) 5x5 @ 50lbs…

From Saturday: Squat 5x5 @ 75lbs Bench 5x5 @ 65lbs Row 5x5 @ 60lbs This was a morning workout for me and I felt a little off. I think I needed a longer warmup because I felt stiff and really struggled with my squat form. I felt pressed for time since my toddler was at the gym day care. She's not a huge fan of it and I kept…

I'm confused. To which attitude are you referring? I went out of my way to help him with his groceries because I try to help out when I can. Regardless of if that person is young, old, male, female, or what have you. If someone offered to help me with my groceries (which happens frequently because I'm usually toting my…

I agree with you here. I have a few older gentlemen who live in my condo building and I was walking in from the parking lot at the same time one of them was bringing in his groceries. I offered to help him carry his stuff in and he seemed flat out schocked that I would do such a thing. It's kind of sad that common courtesy…

I don't know if this is chivalry or just general politeness and courtesy. I was raised to say please, thank you, hold doors, etc. I still do those things every day. My daughter (who will be 3 in September) knows to say please, thank you, and you're welcome. It's not dead.

I ordered it once upon a time. Such a waste of money. Also, my dog wouldn't eat the food when I offered it to her (after I realized it was too disgusting for me).

I've gone from a 44C to a 36C at 80 pounds lost.

Squat - warm up, 5x5 at 70lbs OHP - warm up, 5x5 at 55lbs DL - warm up, 5x5 at 115lbs Followed by the elliptical. I have bruises on my back/shoulder from squatting. I'm wondering if my placement is off, or if it's just because I bruise easily.

Not sure if I'm single at the moment or not, but being able to spend 2 hours at the gym on a Saturday night.

I was out of town for the weekend celebrating my birthday. Definitely missed the gym. Did a three hour kayaking excursion, but not much activity other than that. Back at my routine tomorrow night!

I understand where you're coming from. When my marriage ended, my ex and I didn't hate each other and it was very amicable. I think when there's a lack of negative emotions/anger/rage it's easy to be bothered by other smaller things.

@Stef love that gif! good job on the chinups. That's awesome. Last night: Squat - warm up, 5x5 @ 65lbs Bench - warm up, 5x5 @ 60lbs Row - warm up, 5x5 @ 55lbs I was at a different YMCA than I usually go to last night and I was so excited to have the weight room all to myself! Also had my first stroke development clinic.…
