Occasionally I take a Zumba class at the gym. We have a wide spectrum of “abilities” in this class – and let me tell you – it’s not always pretty! However the instructor always reminds us that we are doing it “right” if we are moving and having a good time. I am on the “not pretty” end of the spectrum….so I choose not to…

If I know what is being served ahead of time, I look up calorie estimates, and go with a plan. If I don't know what is being served, I eat reasonably, and write down what and how much I ate - while I am still at the event. Then I track it when I get home. I purchased the Polar F4, recommended by a friend, and I am very happy with it! I bought it online (amazon) for $70-ish, after I saw it sold at Target (in store) for $100. It comes in a variety of colors - I got it in red :happy:

Thanks for the tip on the Ojon product! I recently got a Polar HR monitor that also counts calories burned when I am working out. With this, I am more open to trying new activities and gym classes, because I know I can still get an accurate calorie count. I can also better accurately gauge when I am working at my target HR…

I do my best, but I haven't been consistently drinking the 64 ounces of H2O either. If I drink herbal, self-brewed decaf tea, then I count that as a water serving. That seems to help....

I agree - they have a good nutrition calculator! I get the 8oz tortilla soup, with no toppings or extras - good flavor and under 100 calories!
