Lol. Actually, they are. Maybe I should have used the blanket term- UTI, or urinary tract infection. If a bladder infection goes untreated, and they often do, the infection can travel to your kidneys. But we are off track here. Drinking water is beneficial for your body. Period. :)

Your body is made up of a large amount of water. It needs it to function properly. Too little water can be harmful in many ways. Kidney infections are common when not enough water is consumed. Your body also retains water when it is not getting enough. This causes you to swell and hold on to water weight.

I mix equal parts of dry regular oatmeal and low fat vanilla yogurt. Then let it regrigerate overnight (or at least a few hours). I had never heard of this until I joined MFP and several members from the UK suggested it. Very yummy!

Depends on the med. Some cause increased hunger. So with those if you can just manage to stay within a certain calorie limit then you will not gain. If you are having trouble hitting the 1200 mark try eating non-diet food. Of course eat healthy. But buy regular milk, not fat free. Eat the whole egg, as opposed to just the whites. If you can't enough calories then there is little reason to be cutting them in the first place. Good luck!

Typically, no. If recommended and supervised by a physician- sure. I would consult your doctor first, as that is a very low amount and your body may lose proper functionaing ability and slow your metabolism. And that would make you weak, sick, and give you issues losing/maintaining weight in the long run.

Make sure there's no junk in the house. At least you can manage what she eats while she is at home. My hubby is trying to lose weight so we make sure not to have any snacky foods around (chips, cookies, etc). If he is hungry he actually has to prepare his food. Do not weigh at night. The food and water you take in each day weighs different amounts so you will have varying numbers. Always weigh first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything and after you use the restroom. This will be your most accurate number.

Agreed. I think we are all capable of messing up. As long as what we are doing is working for us then more power to us. I go over all of the time and consistently lose. The numbers on MFP do not have to be set in stone. You have to find what works best for you. And again, maybe these individuals going over need more…

I read her post a different way. She mentions friends in the red in the first paragraph. Then she discusses also contemplating deleting inactive friends. To me she was discussing two differnt things she may delete friends over. Being in the red, or over on cals, and inactive friends, or friends who do not log in every day.

I'd worry more about you and your goals. Also try being supportive of those people that have been going over lately. Maybe they are struggling with their diet/exercise routine and need a bit of support from YOU.

I pre-log. Nothing worse then eating dinner, logging, and realizing you were over on your calorie goal because you didn't plan right.

In this instance I agree with this statement. Basically you are only giving your body 1000 cals to function off of. Weight loss or no weight loss that's just not healthy longterm.

Exercise is actually recommended to keep your digestive system healthy and active. Sounds like you have a very active GI system, as this is normal. I wouldn't complain. I wish it was as simple as that for me. :)
