  • Hi Alison! I have around the same amount of weight to go, I am also in the NW and like the odd glass of red too! I'll send you a FR :)
  • @Stacebob85 I couldnt agree more about the Hairy Bikers cook book, I got mine from the book people and I think it only cost me a fiver - I 100% recommend their Mediterranean burger, it is delish and healthy too! I also love the lamb and spinach curry, the spanish fish stew, actually I am just listing everything thats in it…
  • Well done on the 50lbs!
  • I am currently 3 fast days in and I have lost 5lb in the first week, I am not saying its easy but it is getting easier. there are a few groups on here regarding the 5:2 most people are very helpful and will give you decent advice http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/8005-5-2-fasting Good luck if you decide to do it!
  • Wow! You look amazing and as I am someone thats just started the 5:2 (3 fasts in!) you are a real motivator! I started doing the diet to support my hubbie so I hope we do as well as you have! You look great!
  • I disagree with this totally, I think the name "Fatkini" is completely off putting to any woman, I wouldn't buy anything with the word "fat" in the title especially swimwear. I dont know who came up with the name and I have never heard of these in the UK, I have however just read an article on them (not the one in the OP's…
  • Are you not on medication for it? I take a regular B12 supplement every day and try to get B12 through food as well, usually I find lunch and dinner are easiest though as I dont have time in the morning to make a cooked breakfast like eggs. If its cereal you want then stick with it and just change to soy milk, obviously if…
  • Is there a particular vitamin you are trying to have more of? I personally have vitamin B12 deficiency so I have to try and keep my uptake high, for breakfast I usually have wholemeal toast with marminte (high in B12) or cornflakes/rice krispies with alpro light (fresh) both keep me going until lunch
  • If your doctor cannot work out what's wrong with you I would see someone else - everyone else seems to have answered the question here for you, its probably to do with the weight loss and you body fat. Some women do just suffer with irregular periods, but usually your doctor would investigate more than just say "i dont…
  • Have some porridge (yes its the same as oatmeal) or some toast or a banana or something simple before you go, you don't need to drink any extra water before you go, if you usually drink water after then why change your routine now? I presume you have been training and you know what your usual routine is for hydrating etc.…
  • Hello!! Cheshire here! :) There is a UK Group too! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/150-team-uk
  • I also do the 5:2 and follow a more restricted non fast day, I have lost more than my husband and he has been restricting too - I think it depends on how your own body works, I don't believe there is one fix all answer to everyone's weight loss. Have you read the 5:2 books? This diet is about more than weight loss in the…
  • LOL! No I dont think it matters, most people that work full time and commute dont get home until around 7ish so by the time they prepare food its after 7. I usually east after 7 most nights and dont find it an issue.
  • Whatever the TDEE is the fact in less calories in and more moving about is going to make a difference anyway
  • Gold Dust by DJ Fresh, makes me up my pace! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNuUgbUzM8U
  • Thanks for this all the others I had looked at were really confusing. Going on the -10% 20% theory would mean I could up my daily allowance from 1230 to 1360 which us a massive difference so I wont feel so bad about being a little bit over from now on!
  • I have updated my blog if any one is interested http://dietofamadwife.blogspot.co.uk/ Also I have lost 5lbs! :D
  • Its unbelievable what they try and sell us as "real"
  • Tomorrow is my 3rd fast day and will be my first weigh in since I started, I found my first every fast challenging but its didnt make me miserable, and yesterday whizzed by so I didnt have a chance to notice! I am hoping tomorrow will be just as successful, everyone tells me each fast day gets easier! So here's hoping! :)…
  • My only advice would be do what suits you, if you're not feeling right then change something!
  • Feel free to add me I am on 1230 per day but I fast twice a week as well, I add lots of my own recipes so if there is anything you would like more details on let me know. I would also say look at BBC good food as it is definitely where i get most of my ideas from. MFP has also put my daily total at 1230 (I know you're on…
  • Hello! And welcome! :) I have to say I have a guilty pleasure - when its miserable out I like to clean, so I usually give the house a good scrub!
  • Second fast day for me today and I am a little stressed out personally so I dont feel like eating anyways - lets see how the day pans out
  • Well that was interesting. No one EVER said about this thread.
  • What I mean is the calories I am eating on a non fasting day fill me up, I dont feel like I need to stuff myself silly
  • You look awesome! Definitely nothing to worry about!
  • Two weeks in Morocco in the VERY VERY hot sun! I cannot wait! We've been married 7 months now and we had to delay our proper honeymoon because of my husbands job, but it cannot come soon enough!
  • I have just started the 5:2 diet so I am only eating 500cal 2 days a week, I have been told that as I am restricting myself on 2 days I shouldn't still be only having 1200 on the other days and that i should up it. But I am not going hungry and I am still making healthy choices. In fact I went running yesterday and didnt…
