Congrats on becoming vegan and the added benefit of some weight loss too. I live in MS and have recently become vegetarian and am leaning closer and closer to veganism, the benefits seem to outweigh any reservations I might have. Good luck and welcome to MFP on-line.

I'm 5"9 and shooting for 160-165, I have been 155 before but it was too skinny. I am now 172 and hoping to get to 165 asap for my wedding but the pounds aren't going anywhere. argh!

I have a polar too and it is great! I agree, don't buy one without a chest strap. HRM's are great for accuracy, definitely worth the money since the counters on gym equipment are not that accurate.

I'm frustrated this morning as well. Burning 3500 calories per week, eating really well- low carbs and drinking almost a gallon of water everyday. I was hoping for a two pound loss this morning but that didn't happen- just stayed the same. Argh! I have also cut out alcohol as a way to boost everything. Fingers crossed we…

i have recently been using GNC's protein powder for women and it curbs my appetite, is only 70 calories and takes ok.
