  • Just work out for a couple hours and burn 1,000+ calories. Then eat the omelet that you desire.
  • You probably are retaining water from eating high salt foods. Eat your normal foods, drink some water, you'll be back to normal.
  • You should match your macro-nutrients (percent calories from fat, protein and carbs) to your work out regimen, and eat healthy foods as much as possible within your calorie limit. Beans fit in to that program quite nicely. Currently, I am going for 20% fat, 30% protein, 50% carbs. With a 1500 net calorie limit and working…
  • I also recommend a set of measuring cups and measuring spoons.
  • Treadmills work really well in cold weather. My father just got one from Dick's on sale and delivered for about $600, and it does incline, too. It takes up some space, but it will keep you from getting frostbite, having a really hard fall on the ice, or getting run over by a car out of control on the bad roads.
  • I know what XXX is, but I am curious what the 4th X might be. I was not aware human anatomy had a 4th X.
  • I don't know about that. I followed my own advice when I got started, and so far I have lost 80+ since August of 2013. I added weight lifting later in the program and started with a low-weight high-rep program that included body weight exercises to get my muscles, joints, and tendons used to it. My sets are currently 8-10…
  • Go with a weight you can lift comfortably 20+ times if you just want to tone up. No need to really stress your muscles with things you can barely lift.
  • Follow up: lifting heavy weights will build lean mass. Heavy is anything you can barely do 6-10 repetitions of. If you're lifting really light weights with a lot of repetitions (e.g. 20+ per set), it will mostly just tone you up.
  • Cardio with no lifting to lose both fat and some lean mass. Try an elliptical machine. Start slow and on low setting for 20 - 30 minutes until your legs get used to it. Then over time ramp up the amount of time, difficulty level, and intensity. Walking is the cheaper alternative, and it is all around fantastically healthy…
  • 1/2 cup Fat free cottage cheese or plain fat free greek yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, some Mueslix cereal, and 1/4 cup fat free milk. Plus coffee and maybe a banana for the drive.
  • I suggest you get a heart rate monitor and train by heart rate, and completely ignore your pace. Here is a good site to calculate what your target heart rates should be: http://www.runningforfitness.org/calc/heart-rate-calculators/hrtp?minHR=60&maxHR=177&Submit=Calculate Insert your own resting and max heart rate and…
  • Is your profile picture fairly current? I ask because I saw your goal is 120 lbs, and if your profile pic is current - you already look good. I would think 120 lbs is excessive weight loss for you, but that is just my opinion. I also like women with some curvyness, so I am not a neutral opinion on that matter. Either way,…
  • Just remember to be happy with your own self no matter what your physical condition is. You are lucky to have such a supportive and loving husband!!! I wish you all the best in your journey - I am sending my positive thought waves in your direction. Can you feel them? No? Ok, let me try harder.... grrrrrrrrrrr, uh…
  • I got the Norelco Bodygroom, and I like it a lot. Would recommend, because my back does indeed look better without the oddly distributed patchwork of fur.
  • I always liked BONUS-bottomed girls, regardless of when I was 165 lbs in high school or 265 lbs last year. And I always will like them. I do like a 'thinner' face and neck, but I need that womanly weight and shape down on the bottom to keep me rockin'. Gimme something to grab onto, please! SMACK!!!
  • OK, long before manscaping, let's all agree that ears and noses always needed to be trimmed, even if you're on a Paleo diet. I'm fairly certain the Paleo women burnt off the nose and ear hair of their Paleo men before they would let them touch any of the merch.
  • Like I said, the Chicken Fresco Tacos are actually tasty AND healthy for you. They contain chicken, salsa, and a tortilla - that's it. Several fast food chains are including healthier options these days. If you're on the go or if your friends just want to eat something quick, you can often still eat healthy food with some…
  • I usually choose the 140 calorie Chicken Fresco Tacos (only 30 calories from fat!!!): http://www.tacobell.com/food/menuitem/Fresco-Chicken-Soft-Taco Not only are they healthier than just about everything else on the menu, but I personally think they taste better, too. I am not a big fan of Taco Bell ground beef. I…
  • I read a study that found that American women prefer light stubble first, followed by clean shave second. This agrees with every chick I spoke to about my goatee (they all hated goatees), so I shaved it off.
  • You could try a multivitamin or potassium supplement
  • Try to hit your net calorie goal. If you accurately entered your activity level, age and weight, as well as your weight loss goal, then the net calorie goal MFP calculates for you should be fairly close to what you ought to stick to, and there is no need to undereat. But just as a word of caution, MFP and exercise machines…
  • Every time I've had a woman answer this a little tipsy, and probably the most honestly, they say, "six pack".
  • The standard BMI calculator tells me that as a 6'0" male that I need to look like an Auschwitz prisoner at 135-150 lbs to have a "normal" body. Um, sorry pal, that ain't normal, and that ain't healthy. I looked like a stick in high school and I was 158 lbs. As a young adult I bicycled 50 miles a day, was in perfect health,…
  • Damn, I was hoping it would be a chick, but Ok. Any port in a storm I guess.
  • Hey, every time I pass by awkward waddling aquatic winged creatures, I scream "Duckies!!!" whether or not they are ducks. Can one really blame her for wanting to take a couple home?
  • You can be full on a lot fewer calories than you are used to with these dietary choices: 1) Limit your intake of high calorie items such as processed carbs, fats and sugary liquids 2) Instead eat a lot more fruits, veggies, beans, 100% whole grains, and nuts.
  • I am certainly in transformation mode. I realized after my dad's cancer surgery that he would have to live with me for a while, and that if I did not transform my life, I would screw everything up, worst of all I would fail my dad when he needed me the most. I quit drinking, started exercising, formed a healthy diet... I…
  • I have been trying to do a full hour cardio workout before eating in the morning, because I read it helps with fat burning.
