  • Yeah, I wasn't as concerned about the total today as I was surprised at the amount of calories in ONE slice of pizza! Craziness!!!!
  • I had Invisalign for about a year & a half, about 5 years ago. I did find that I didn't snack as much as usual because of the hassle. However, I still drank whatever I wanted with my trays in, my dentist said it would be fine. I'm an all day "sipper" & always have some sort of drink with me. I would have probably had…
  • Click on exercise diary & check it out. It sounds like that's what's happening. (If I knew how to post a pic, I'd show an example.)
  • Are you using a Fitbit or any tracker like it? The only time my exercise #s are ADDED to my food #s is when I haven't reached my expected calorie burn for the day (according to my Fitbit). Just a thought.
  • No, you should be eating back your exercise calories, if I understand correctly. MFP already figures in a calorie deficit, so the equation should be (cals. eaten + excercises cals. = total eaten). HTH!
  • Thanks for your reply! I finally feel like someone understands what I'm saying! ????
  • Wow! Unless my Fitbit has been wrong from day one, I only burn about 2000 calories on my most active days! A few days ago, I burned 2187 by walking 4.5 miles. Not sure what size all of you are, but as I understand it, that does make a difference. I'm 5'5" & ~120 lbs. Every BMR or TDEE calculator I've tried agree with the…
  • The reason I don't agree with this is because on Sunday, I took about 600 more steps than I did on Monday, .26 miles more than Monday. Sunday it says I burned 1599 calories. Also, when you click on the calories burned on the app & it brings up the horizontal graph, the number there is 1461. So, it's reporting 1 number in 2…
  • Thank you for your reply, @nanook37, but if you'll re-read my post, I don't really see how your reply is a solution. My issue is with Fitbitb not MFP. MFP is just doing what Fitbit tells it, since I have the 2 synced with each other. I do, however, have sedentary set as my activity level in MFP. But again, not sure how…
  • I just stumbled onto almond milk also & really like it! I think it's much better in my protein shakes! I've never been a huge fan of cows milk though. But, when I eat milk & cookies (which I'm trying to stay away from!), I'll probably stick with cows milk. Other than that, I'm going to be using almond milk!
  • I, too, have only had my Zip for a couple of weeks, but I'm loving it. Feel free to add me! https://www.fitbit.com/user/2G9298
  • I officially quit on Good Friday, the 18th. I'm using the patches. Have taken a few drags here & there, but no more than 1 full cigarette in any given day since I "quit". I'm not having any issues. I'll be glad to go to the next step of patches & then be finally done! It's been a lot easier than I thought it would be!
  • OK, this is how I've been doing it. Just wanted to make sure it was right to do it this way. Thanks!
  • I don't completely understand how MFP would only calculate 8 calories for 3500 steps! I have a Fitbit Zip &, according to it, I burn more than that just being alive for an hour! ???? I would definitely go by what the HRM says, but I'm not an expert at any of this stuff either.
  • Maybe this will help: http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/healthtool-target-heart-rate-calculator http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/GettingHealthy/PhysicalActivity/Target-Heart-Rates_UCM_434341_Article.jsp
  • I'm new too! Added you both! ????
  • My intake is set at 1520, but gets adjusted throughout the day by my Fitbit. I've been going over (with exercise) the last few days, but I'm blaming it on the holiday weekend. The rest of this week should be much better. Fingers crossed!
  • ???? I think you deserve a cheat day!
  • Thanks! I just got my Fitbit yesterday & I'm still trying to figure it out. I think I'm starting to grasp what's happening with the calories. Takes me a while sometimes, LOL. ????
  • Anyone have any idea what these will cost? I want one!
  • I have this same problem every week! My mom always cooks a big dinner on Sundays. The whole family gathers at my parents house & we graze all day! I try my hardest to track what I eat, but know it's not 100% correct. Also, I don't worry about it, it's supposed to be a fun, relaxing day for everyone, so I make it that way…
  • I apparently had a cheat day today! Went grocery shopping with my mom & I always treat her to lunch... Today we chose Pizza Hut. HUGE MISTAKE! I went so far over my limit it's not funny. Not only that, but I also bought a pizza to bring home with me. ???? I knew it was wrong to do, but I can't resist PH! No exercise for me…
  • Well, I eat my last real meal between 6 & 7 p.m. I will snack after that though. I've been trying to eat a snack that fits into whatever calorie allotment I have left, but I'm also not opposed to going a little over if I feel I really need to.
  • OK, I went ahead & set up my account. Nothing tracked as of yet, but will start tomorrow when I receive my Fitbit! ????
  • I should be receiving my Fitbit tomorrow. When I get an account set up, I'll share & you can add me if you'd like! ????
  • Hi Lin! Sorry I'm late replying, I just saw your reply. I have cut down to only 2 sodas a day, which is still too much, I know, but better than 3 or 4! This week I've really been trying to watch what I'm eating. The only thing I'm having issues with is sodium (too much) & potassium (hardly any!). A little too much sugar…
  • I would suggest trying it with shoes & see if there's any difference. I haven't been working out very long either & was originally doing it in my socks. I've started doing more strenuous moves, which has caused me to have some pain in my ankles (I've always had weak ankles). I started wearing shoes this week & it has…
