  • What if the person was divorced because, say, their spouse beat them? Or their spouse stole all their money and ran away? Or their spouse cheated on them and left them? Just because someone is divorced doesn't necessarily mean that marriage vows mean nothing to them. I see no problem dating someone who was divorced. Not…
  • I love your text tone! Haha. Mom - Stewie Griffin going "Mom. Mom. Mommy. Mama. Mama. Mommy. Mama." and on and on Dad - A recording that says "The number that's calling is someone you don't want to talk to. If you find this error in message, go ahead and look down at your caller ID. Go ahead, I insist. See? Please don't…
  • I've had a Fitbit for over a month now and I love it. I use MFP to log my calorie intake, as the database is so much better than Fitbit, but I use Fitbit to log all exercise. The only thing with Fitbit is that it doesn't record activities where you're still a lot of the time. It picks up body movement so with stuff like…
  • You can take protein bars, make your own healthy trail mix and put it into little baggies, hummus and pita chips, dried fruit, make some popcorn and stick it into a ziploc bag, string cheese. That's all I can think of right now!
  • If I've been eating healthy then I start having meals high in fat I tend to get very bad stomach pains. It's like my body reacts really badly to fat after not being used to processing it or something. If I cut out the fatty foods and go back to eating healthy then the pains usually go away. Pay attention to your body. If…
  • Don't listen to those trying to make you feel bad for "cheating". If they have such great wills of steel, good for them, but they're in the minority. Things happen. What matters is that you realize what happened and are conscious of it. Log what you ate and look at tomorrow as another day. I work my butt off doing 90-120…
  • A challenge based on superheroes? This was so made for me! I would love to be in. Pretty please?
  • Then he sounds like a guy you shouldn't be around... If he's an *kitten* and doesn't like anything you say or do, then he doesn't like YOU.
  • This sounds pretty brilliant. I'm one of those who eat breakfast/lunch/dinner in about 15 minutes, scarf it down and go. People always tell me how fast I eat. Trying chopsticks definitely sounds like an awesome idea. Now I just need to figure out where to get some!
  • Post-It Note on the door. Works wonders. I pack my lunches so infrequently that I always forget, so I stick a big Post-It with "GET FOOD!" written on it at eye level on the front door. As I'm walking out of the house I see it and detour to grab my food!
  • Hahaha. I like you!
  • I don't understand how you feel like you get no support. Every time I check my friends feed, all of your statuses have no less than 12 replies about 95% of the time. Everyone seems to jump at the chance to reassure and support you no matter what it is you're posting about. With 250 friends, you seem to get a stinkin' TON…
  • I do yoga at home. I find it hard because of my size. There's just too much fat on my stomach and thighs for me to be able to get fully into the positions. Because of my weight I just can't get down low enough, like for child's pose, because of the fat in the way. I love it anyway, though, and keep trying. I know once I…
  • Take your daughter on walks. I have the most fun taking a walk when I'm with my nephew. 2 is pretty young to walk any long distance, so put her in a stroller. It's good quality time, it gives you a chance to exercise, and it's a great way to help her learn as you point out things like trees and birds and talk about the…
  • Crunches done! Also did the toning from yesterday, but as I have a foot injury I couldn't do the lunges so I did squats instead. I am definitely feeling the burn all over my body. Yay toning!
  • I totally slacked yesterday and today. I need to step it up tomorrow! Hopefully between all the house-cleaning and my DVDs, I can hit my goal! Goal: 5,000 calories Sunday - 720 calories (walking, strength training, yoga) Monday - 460 calories (walking) Tuesday - 892 calories (cleaning, strength training, aerobics)…
  • I was going to blow off working out today, but got some motivation at the end of the day! Goal: 5,000 calories Sunday - 720 calories (walking, strength training, yoga) Monday - 460 calories (walking) Tuesday - 892 calories (cleaning, strength training, aerobics) Wednesday - 723 calories (walking, strength training,…
  • Push-ups done! My legs are still complaining about the squats from yesterday. They ache, but it makes me smile when they do. It's a good ache and lets me know I'm doing something with myself. I keep going, "Ow, that's sore. Awesome!"
  • Yoga is amazing for toning and it can be very soothing. It helps reduce tension and stress. It's a great way to tone up. Swimming is also a great full-body workout that will help you tone up and doesn't have to feel like exercise.
  • Ooh, I love that idea!
  • Forgot to post yesterday's. I'm going to go ahead and post today's as well, but I might modify it later if I add more working out. Goal: 5,000 calories Sunday - 720 calories (walking, strength training, yoga) Monday - 460 calories (walking) Tuesday - 892 calories (cleaning, strength training, aerobics) Wednesday - Thursday…
  • I've been using Element's AM & PM Yoga For Beginners. It has an AM session to get you going in the morning and a PM session to calm you down at night. I find the PM session very easy and I've been using it to slowly work on my flexibility. I've used the AM session a couple of times and it's a bit more strenuous and…
  • Those calorie burns are super impressive. I really need to get into spinning. I have a stationary bike at home but the resistance is non-existent so it's barely a workout, and the recumbent bikes at the gym have seats that tilt so I'm always sliding out! Maybe I'll try the upright bike, because I want some calorie burns…
  • If you can't do push-ups, I'm sure it would be just fine if you found an exercise you can do that works the same muscle group. Like today, I can't do a reverse crunch to save my life but I found a way to do it that worked the same muscle group but was an exercise I could handle. Don't do something that's going to hurt you!
  • I totally forgot to do this yesterday, but today I did the crunches for today AND the squats for yesterday. All caught up now!
  • I usually need a wide in normal shoes, but I don't in the Shox. I would say they run wide to begin with.
  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has knee problems on the elliptical! I feel more normal now. Haha. I have a stationary bike, in a way. It's an InStride Cycle, so it's just the pedal part of the bike and sits under my desk. It makes it super simple to work out because I can do it while I'm doing other things like…
  • The elliptical is supposed to be amazing because it's such low impact, but it kills my knees. After about 30 seconds it just really hurts my knees so I can't do it. My trainer insisted I do it, too, because it's supposed to be so awesome but I just can't.
  • "It starts to go deep. You can feel it." Oh, that is so wrong!
  • That's what we're doing here, continuing the September challenge!
