  • You might want to try tracking your calories for a week or so to find out what your patterns are before you worry about what changes you want to make. I do better eating more protein and less carbs. I've cut out a lot of simple carbs and try to focus on eating higher fiber foods and complex carbs. It's really helped…
  • I heat leftovers for myself, but my middle school age boys like a snack style lunch--cheese stick, nuts, carrots with hummus, fresh fruit--it's healthy and they feel like they are eating treats for lunch.
  • That is a success! Great work!
  • I am eating low carb right now so I have too much fat and protein. I'm not sure how to get things perfect. Just adjust your diet so that you are losing weight. I think we all lose weight differently.
  • Baked lentils with cheese is my favorite. I also eat it with rice sometimes to stretch it out. You can switch out the veggies to ones you prefer. http://www.cooks.com/recipe/ka46c498/baked-lentils-with-cheese.html I also use bones from roasting chicken or w/e other meat I've cooked to make stock for soups. It adds flavor…
  • I have a friend that would notice if you lost an ounce and she can tell you where you lost it. (She can also see every bit you gain though she's not the type to say anything.) I'm the opposite. I don't notice people's weight that much. If I see that someone looks different I'm sometimes afraid to say anything because they…
  • Thanks for the tips, I have the same problem.
  • Did you salt them? Adding salt can keep them from getting tender. After 4 hours they should be done, but I guess keep simmering if they are not. Eventually they will soften. . .
  • fennel leeks moose I think I've tried everything else--minus the bugs and some organ meat
  • Be good for breakfast and lunch and don't go too wild at dinner. Walk a lot and hop in the pool. If you know you can have w/e you want (within reason) for dinner, it will be easier the rest of the day.
  • I make my own laundry detergent. It's better and I hate running out. This way I have the stuff on hand to make more. Will have to look up recipes for the toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner though.
  • That's a huge deal! Great job and happy shopping!

  • I can see a difference, especially in your side shot. You're doing great!
  • I don't know about JM's yoga either, but I do 10 min solutions yoga for beginners and I love it. I always feel good after doing it and with it cut into 10 min segments, you can always fit it in.
  • This is not healthy, but it is yummy. Take freshly grated parm cheese mix with a little flour, some salt and pepper. Use pam spray or w/e you like on a nonstick skillet and sprinkly the cheese in a circle. Let it melt (few seconds) and turn over. Drape each parm shell over a rolling pin handle or something so that when it…
  • Ask around, I imagine someone you know has one that they don't or have never used. You can try it out and see if you like it.
  • I read this article and changed the way I shopped. I make a lot of stuff from scratch and that helps too. Since I started shopping differently, we have started eating healthier (ok, not so much at Thanksgiving, but in general) I spent $50 total Thanksgiving week for the entire week and had a great Thanksgiving meal with…
  • Canned are nice to have on hand for mushroom emergencies. Fresh are wonderful. Keep in a brown paper lunch bag in the fridge for optimal freshness--they last a bit longer

  • I used to raid 4 nights a week in EQ2 but tbh, I just got tired of it taking up so much time. I play a little Aion now, but nothing serious. Ask yourself if you really want to give up what you have now for gaming. Tbh the best part about it was chatting with people that you became friends with. A few of my buddies also…
  • I only saw the last two days logged and you aren't eating enough. Make sure you log every bite and never go below 1200 calories (unless you are a short tiny person I suppose). You have to eat enough to not go into starvation mode.
  • that's awesome. It's nice to feel our bodies rising to the challenge with a little work.
  • bulging muscles good, bulging veins bad
  • We all rebel against ourselves at some time or another. The important thing is to realize that its not what you truely want. Then when it comes to giving up on eating what you want, when you want, it's easier to admit that you don't actually want those things. Sometimes my taste buds don't want to admit that I don't want…
