Joined a gym in 2005 after watching the show for a while! Lost some, gained, lost again, gained again and still not keeping it off. I've even had…

Saw an item on TV called a 'Kitchen Safe' It was on a show called "I Want That!" It locks for a set amount of time that you set it for, so it can be locked during the evening!

The Kitchen Safe!!!!! Saw this on a show called "I Want That!" It's GREAT! Store whatever you overeat in it and lock it for a set amount of time and you can not get to it until the time is up!! Have a measured portion and LOCK the rest up!!

Yes, that's good! I've bought the shoestring cut carrots! They are easier to crunch, take longer to eat and remind me of eating potato sticks! :)

I have this problem too, BUT I HAVE noticed that when I eat sardines, they REALLY satisfy my hunger... With the statements noted here about protein and fat... THAT must be why they satisfy my hunger! Good point!

Gee, Glad to know I'm not alone! I've been told I have arthritis and that there's nothing that can be done. :frown: That was a couple of years ago with my right knee. It actually got better, but recently my left knee has been acting up and I've been bummed because even the elliptical has been a problem and that is what…

I'm 51 and finding negative changes going on in my body and I DON'T like any of them! Knee problems for one and not-to-mention weight gain is VERY FAST and weight loss is VERY VERY SLOW! Must eat less and less to lose! There is no comfort in food anymore...Only SUPER STRICT discipline to eat less and eat only the right…

Nice to hear from some fellow 50ers! Just turned 51 and had lost 50 pounds a few years ago, but am VERY MUCH struggling to go down again, because it's coming back on. Want to stop this gaining NOW! It's tough! Feel free to add me.

Great suggestions!...Bump for future reference!

Yes, I CAN *SO* identify with THIS! I lost over 50 pounds, but am struggling with those 20! Gain, lose, gain, lose the same 20 pounds... Oh it's tiring! One thing I HAVE found, though, if I happen to keep the eating at night to a minimum or none, then the weight seems to come off! The other thing, for me, is to keep…

Get serious about weighing and measuring your food and logging it here on MFP! If you do that, accurately and faithfully and keep up the exercise and log your exercise too, it WILL help! BEST of luck!!

Pre-Packaged Pre-Measured Packets!! They have helped me to actually be able to have Peanut Butter in the house. Otherwise I'll eat the whole entire jar in a couple of days!! I've even tried the PB2 and I eat that right out of the container and sprinkle it on just about anything!! The container is gone in a couple of days!…

Ooh Yeah, GREAT stuff for anyone in love with PB!! Had ordered it on-line, but recently found it at Whole Foods too! YUMMM!! ((Sadly, I'm such a PB freak that I can't have it in the house anymore, 'cause the last container I bought, I ate in TWO days!! I also don't have regular PB in the house for that same reason!)) I…

Got a car-phone in my car around 1989...I was 26...Eventually I got a cell phone when they were small enough to carry around...Not sure when exactly, but it must've been some time in the 90's?? I still have it, but have since moved on to a Sony Ericson W600i Walkman, not a modern cell phone anymore. Not sure how old it is,…

That looks like loose skin. Sorry to say you might need skin removal surgery to lose that, but don't give up on fitness! Fitness is MOST important. There is a show on TV, I can't remember the name of it right now, that covers folks that loose a lot of weight over the course of a year and at the end, if they lose enough…

Yes, Tofu Shiritaki noodles are a great substitute for pasta. They are in the refrigerated part of the grocery store. They'll take on any flavor you're cooking or sauce. Mashed cauliflower using a hand blender with mushroom or a creamy soup makes a GREAT substitute for mashed potatoes! Although the soup adds some carbs.…
