The Vitamix was the best kitchen appliance investment I've EVER made.

Agreed! I'm 25, so I fit the "over the age of 20" description in the title, but I am 5'0" and if I can find cute outfits in juniors I will. I am not anyone's mother, I don't want to wear Mom Jeans. And I don't want to go buying clothing just to then have everything I own tailored. Maybe in a few yrs, but why now?

If you aren't hungry, and it doesn't bother you to skip breakfast then I wouldn't force it down. If it's the "breakfast food" choices that are turning you off, maybe try eating something else. Hummus on an apple, leftovers from the night before, or even a healthy smoothie. Do what's comfortable to you.

My dad was 100% Armenian. My mom is a mix of Italian and Irish :)

Simply beautiful. Love the smile! You should be proud of your accomplishments so far, and for being brave and sharing your photos to help inspire others! :D

just wanted to point out the typo in the URL, it should be bodybuilderS.com with an S. I went to bodybuilder.com without the S and found a different site that isn't nearly as good as the one MelDaniel was sending the OP to. :)

When I feel this way (which is often), I try to step back and think "Am I really hungry?" Usually, the answer is no. I do things like remove myself from the kitchen area to another part of the house, go for a walk, find something to do to take my mind off of food, brush my teeth to signal I'm done eating, or just plain old…

I so agree with this! And there are lots of websites out there with great recipes to help you find substitutes for your old favorites.

I am copy & pasting from her website: "The simple answer to “How many calories do we burn per Mile?” The Walk without Boosters … approx. 100 calories per mile! The Walk with Boosters ….. approx. 125 – 150 calories per mile!" There's a longer explanation here: http://www.walkathome.com/exercise/calorie-burn-per-mile/

QueenJayJay, your tacos look amazing!! The filling looks like a veggie taco bowl I get at my local mexican restaurant that I looove. You just made me so hungry!

Here is Raw Vegan "Pad Thai" with mung bean sprouts, zucchini "pasta", and bell peppers.

I love that you used pink food coloring just to add some pizazz to your meal! So cute :D Wish I had some yummy food pics... I'll do some searching.

I agree with the other posters above that suggested using MFP for a while. There are lots of great "challenges" on MFP where you can join a bunch of others with similar goals as you and check in daily, have like-minded people to chat with about your struggles and triumphs, and it helps to hold yourself accountable knowing…

Years ago I read (I don't remember where) that if you can't stomach your breakfast it may be because of something you're eating too close to bedtime is not digested all the way before you sleep. So some of the acids are still sitting in your stomach. The idea is to get up and move around for a little before you eat your…

I second this! "Chia Pudding" is another name for it, very delicious and nutritious!

Agreed. I put makeup on before I leave for work in the morning, and after I leave work to go to the gym, I don't feel the need to remove my makeup before I can enter the gym. I go in there to work hard, and I don't worry if my makeup is still on from the 12 hours I was awake and doing stuff before I got there.

I second this!!

Just want to say Kudos to your 9 year old daughter making her own granola!! That's pretty sweet and I wish I would have been cool enough to do that at her age :) Can you share the recipe?
-
I also recommend the hard boiled eggs. I usually boil them sunday night as well, and then I have an egg for each morning ready to go!

cheerios! :)

I'm pretty active at my job which starts pretty early in the morning. I've been noticing on the days when I eat fairly light for breakfast and lunch, then I'm pigging out in the evenings right before bed. I've been making an effort to eat heartier breakfasts it's working out better for me. Maybe try to eat breakfast like a…

I second this. Leslie Sansone has some great Walk at Home videos. Her 5 Mile walk can be very intense, for an indoor walk! :)

On workdays I wake up around 3:30am, give or take 15 mins. I try to be in bed between 7-8pm. Sleep is wonderful!!
