  • I struggle with this too. I found the book 'If Not Dieting Then What' really useful in stepping back from the moment and figuring out what's actually happening, being able to articulate what you're thinking and interrupt it. Go well, good luck! x
  • At the end of the month I'm headed on a short (long weekend) break - I'd love to be under 100kg when I go. 2.8kgs in 3 weeks is totally achievable!
  • I'd love to join in on this!
  • Sitting here with a 'green' (brown) Nutriblast feeling really jealous of everyone's food. I've got $25 for the next week and am living off freezer scraps... Is it wrong that I find the food pictures more inspiring than the 'success story' pictures?
  • I decided to start C25K again, and I've done six sessions without missing one.
  • Is it messed up that I find this thread more inspiring than the "Success stories" thread? Tonight I'm having home-made beef noodle soup to use up the insane amount of Brisket we have frozen after the last huge roast I did.
  • 100% for me is to stay under my calorie range, and to be eating at a deficit. I have problems with binging, so I'm trying to just make sure my food's on track. S
  • Hi hi - I'd love to join in. My 100% is to log EVERYTHING and to eat a defecit - ie, below my BMR of 1676 calories. S
  • Woooow, this is great work! Keep it up.
  • You look FANTASTIC, loro. Keep it up!
  • Such a great thread. Well done, all of you! So inspirational.
  • 26 yo Melbourne too. Writer and bookseller. Getting back on the wagon.
  • My goodness, you've done a brilliant job! Your dedication's now written on your body. :)
  • Goal weight on January 31st: 65kg 1/01: 67.9kg 1/09: 68.1kg 1/16: 1/23: 1/30: I gained 200 grams this week - pretty much maintained. Given my laziness, I'm surprised I didn't gain... I have, however, just started the Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30 program, just completed day 1, so hopefully next week will be better! I hope…

  • I'd love to join in too, it's been ages between challenges for me and I'd love to have that extra accountability. Samvanz/Sam Goal weight on Jan 31st: 65kgs
  • I don't know if changing meds is an option for you, but I'm on Pristiq and it's AMAZING for killing appetite. I can actually get on with my days now because I'm not thinking about food, and it's helped a lot with my motivation - meaning i actually WANT to get out and exercise, rather than dreading it. I had a lot of…
  • Is the challenge totally closed? If it's too late to join the team, I'm still going to follow along at home with the challenges, because they're great and I'd love to give my 30DS a bit of a boost. Thanks for coming up with this!
  • Out of interest, do many people doing this journey have treadmills, bikes, ellipticals (all those kinds of machines which clock up k's) at home? I'm finding it slow going, and I"m not walking as much as I could because of awful weather here. I could also be making more time to walk, for sure. I am curious though, if many…
  • Finally got over that "The Road Rolls Up & Down" bit, rushed through the resting, eating, and resting more, and now I'm in the unfortunate company of a black rider... I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere at this stage, and am very much looking forward to meeting elves in the next few days!
  • After the distance you've come, Amanda, just under 1kg is nothin'. Looking forward for you :)
  • Today, I finally finished the first day of the Frodo's journey! Finally! Tomorrow's the first daytime I've had off in a while, so I"ll try walk a bit, get over this massive 20-28 mile stretch where the road rolls up and down foreverrrrr.
  • Wow, some of you guys are doing SO WELL! I'm still on Frodo's first day, as I've been really unwell and just took about a week off :( But the road goes ever on and on, and so will I! Beautiful weather here today, and since my next milestone is to head up a steep slope, I'll be walking the hill I usually avoid and catching…
  • So I've just taken almost a whole week off to get over sickness, which seems to be lingering... However, I've just regained motivation after reading updates on this post; tomorrow I'll be going for another decent walk to see if I can knock over another milestone or two!
  • An update on my journey to Mordor: Cross The Great Road from the Brandywine Bridge. Enter Tookland. I've walked 5.4 miles in the last 3 days. We're on the way!
  • No loss for me this week :( I start the challenges on Tuesdays since I'm in Australia and ahead of you guys. So: Tue - 80oz / 55 mins: 519 cals Wed - 64oz / 43 mins: 285 cals Thurs - 80oz / 42 mins: 249 cals I don't know how I've not lost anything. My weight's jumped around all week, I've been pretty damn good about my…
  • OH MY GOSH yes, drinks when we get to the Prancing Pony! For me that's like forever away; 135 miles - I'm only 2 miles in. So in a few months I can have those Prancing Pony drinks, haha. But YES! Great idea. Now I wish I'd been able to convince my friends to do this with me so I'd have someone to drink with! Oh, and on day…
  • Seraph - that's great! What a great head-space, that you made a way to get the exercise in even when things weren't ideal. Great work.
  • Before I was like "Yeah good on you for doing it! Wow!" but now I think, you know what? I'll do it too. I'm in! I'm going to leave for school early today and walk as far as I can. I think it's about 6.2 miles into the city - I doubt I can do all of that in one go, but I can knock a bit of it off. Good luck, everyone!
