I ride hunter/jumpers and one of my biggest motivations for losing the weight (and keeping it off this time!) is my lovely OTTB gelding, who I adore. Feel free to add me! Good luck with your journey.

A lot of people have really passionate opinions about this subject. I have 75 lbs to lose total, and went to a doctor to start a medically supervised weight loss program. They have me on 1000 calories a day, and to not eat my exercise calories unless I'm doing more than 180 minutes of cardio a day (which I'm not!). I eat 5…

I'll go against the grain here and say yes, but that's not a cure all answer for everyone. I've been following a medical weight loss program for a month, and part of that is taking an appetite suppressant. It's a compound and is basically a blend of stimulants and Vitamin B (with some other vitamins as well). The doctor in…

I love the Blue Diamond flavored almonds. I have Mint Dark Chocolate, DArk Chocolate, and Butter Toffee :)

Thanks for all the great responses, especially from those who have done P90X and saw minimal weight loss at first too. I will get some string and start a benchmark for measurements, because I think that'd be great for both of us. We're not going to see a dramatic change at 10 lbs if you know what I mean :) He does spread…

I would get the size that you are now. I had the same mentality when I was wedding dress shopping and gave myself a year to lose 40 lbs. In truth, I got almost halfway and ended up losing around 15-20. Now I had my dress to custom fit me in Jan,and when I went in Sept to try it on I had to hold it up! Even from only losing…

This is my biggest problem, I'm in!

Confidence is a big deal for every rider, but I definitely think it affects those who are overweight more. I was gaining weight due to starting an office job and bad eating habits, but was still riding during that time just not as much bc my horse was in training. I took a BAD fall one day, and was never the same rider…

Hey Kelli - I used to live/work in Plymouth for almost 2 years :) I have Teaspoon, a Belgian/QH that I just got about 3 months ago. I adore him, and am getting him back in shape for hopefully some intro dressage and low hunters or some type of schooling show. Nothing major, but I love my baby! More pics and info on his…

Holy crap! I don't even recognize you, great job!!!!!!!!

We use Veganaise in our house instead of Mayo bc husband is vegan. It's a lot less caloric and whenever I make potato salad or cole slow I only use about 1/3 of the mayo that it calls for, and instead use a few Tbsp of Veganaise and then some yellow mustard to still give it the creaminess without the calories!

Welcome!

Great job everyone! I'm going to drink more water over the weekend next week, and try to stay under for my sodium, sugar, and fat levels.

222.8 for me, that's about 3 lbs! Not bad for week 1 :)

I have a major sweet tooth to, and last night I had some extra calories and sugar so I had a Sugar-Free Jello Pudding with 10 jelly beans in it. The jelly beans were left over from the hoildays and not something I'd usually have in the house, but they satisfied the need to be "bad" and the whole treat was just over 100…

Processed foods, fast food and fried foods. Gah, so hard to break my body from craving them pretty much all the time.

You can add me too. I'm trying to make a permanent lifestyle change this time!
