  • The gaminess you get from deer meat is how it is prepared. Many people in the north leave a deer hanging outside for a few days to age the meat. This does not help the taste of the meat. When I harvest a deer as soon as i get it back to the house i get it off the bone and put it in my fridge for about a week. Leaving the…

  • I bought an elliptical machine when my knees gave up last October. I had really started excercising had a previous knee reconstruction and the walking/jogging had hurt my knees. Doctor advised i get one. Back to running 5 to 8 miles a day now.
  • Air popped popcorn is one of my staples. I like it with mustard.
  • I have been eating one pound at least four nights a week for the last year. I really like venison. It has definitely helped me take off the weight. I can it in the fall in a pressure cooker. Then when i need a quick easy snack I just pop the top off a jar sit down with buffalo sauce dip and enjoy.....

  • A hit a plateau from December to February. Exercising and eating healthy. It was disheartening but I knew I was in a better place. Since the weather has got better and I have got into running the pounds have started shedding again. Try to change up your exercise.
  • I weigh every day. I do eat healthy and exercise, so I realize I might be up a few pounds from the day before. It doesn't freak me out anymore. The scale is a motivator and has helped me to not make bad eating decisions. Because every morning I have to "check in."
  • I have got to the point when in that situation I bring something or load up on salad. When people are eating those other things salad is usually the last thing on their minds. Also keep a stash of Zone Perfect bars on hand. They have saved me on many occasions.
  • Zone Perfect bars.....170-210 calories. I usually eat one in the evenings after running.
  • I lost fifty pounds on ephedra when it was sold over the counter years ago. Only little problem i thought my heart was going to explode. I would get light headed quite frequently. Don't think either of those things are very good.
  • When I first started walking the dog was my main exercise. I have actually had to start leaving the dog at home because it was starting to take its toll on the dog.
  • If the shrimp are raw. Paprika Olive Oil green onions crushed garlic cayenne pepper to taste....i like mine hot. salt Squeeze Lime Juice on them before grilling. Marinate overnight. Put on skewers. Grill
  • I think organic for the most part is a bunch of crap. There was an episode on dateline the other night about it. I plan to raise most of my vegetables this year though.
  • I use to wear it well also. Add me if you would like.
  • Two Cans Chunk Chicken Texas Pete Two Cups Plain Greek Yogurt Big Container Fat Free Sour Cream Serve with Celery Not as thick as the cream cheese version but pretty good.
  • I don't log my water consumption on my diary because I have no troubles drinking a couple gallons a day. That with lots of cardio have kept me from getting that look, I hope....lol I still have a bulge but it has really been going away and I don't have bad saggy skin on my mid section. Not sure if there is a right answer…
  • Burn more than you consume, loose weight.
  • I spent two months at basically 1200 calories and burning a bunch every day. I hit a hard plateau and then upped my calories to a more sustainable level, the pounds peeled off again. Stuck in a bit of a rut again but warm weather is a coming. It is uncomfortable to loose weight and you will feel bad at times. But being…
  • People that are obese due to health problems are one thing. I was morbidly obese for years. As a kid I was obese, because of the culture i was raised in. We had fresh fruits and vegetables we turned into jellies and fried the vegetables. I remember the casseroles loaded with veg and cheese and those french fried onions. I…
  • I have had carbs since i started. My biggest problem was portion control of the carbs. Once i started controlling portion it got easier. I have done the low carb/no carb diet before, loose fifty pounds and then put it back on it a carb fueled binge....lol
  • Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a gangster.
  • Started around the end of April, down 131 pounds. Been ups and downs, plateaus and the feeling to give up at times. Will run my first five k March 17. I am going to run in one every month after that. old pic may lost about twenty pounds at this point September this year January
  • I lost close to fifty pounds before anyone started to notice. I was pretty fat at the time though.
  • Push through your heals on the elliptical.
  • I don't log my water intake on here, but I try and consume at least 144 ounces a day. I have been worried about the skin thing but it seems like it is working ok for me. Water consumption, how fast you loose and age play a big part.
  • I eat bread every day, pasta two to three times a week. For me it has been about calories and learning to eat in moderation. I have done the low/no carb thing in the past dropped fifty pounds and then binged on carbs for the next two months. To loose weight and keep it off is a change of lifestyle and the way you want to…
  • My feet are always cold anymore. I use to sweat all the time. Even if it was frigid. I prefer my cold feet.
  • I am not sure if you can get Special K protein bars but they are 170-180 calories with ten grams of protein. Plus they are very tasty to boot.
  • I blow my cholesterol out of the water every day. When I was at my heaviest and all my blood work was bad the only thing that was good was my cholesterol. I eat a lot of eggs. I usually start off with four eggs a day. Recently I have been eating egg whites. When i eat egg whites i get full with a lot less calories. Lately…
  • I don't buy the whole diet sodas cause you to crave more sugar. At least not for me. I am a diet mtn. dew fiend. The only thing helping me drop the pounds is discipline to eat what i need and exercise more.
