My husband has been very supportive and often points out my weight loss to others in the family. He says things like "Doesn't she look good? She has been working out." It's cute and makes me feel great.

I take two 15min power walks a day (on my breaks) also I use the restroom which is farthest from my break and every time I go to the rest room I run up and down the flight of stairs three times. Just try to think of as many ways as you can to get up and move around! Good luck.

I have an office job too. What I have found that works for me is going to the furthest restroom from my desk each time. Also each time I leave my office I do three flights of stairs as fast as I can. I also use my breaks to walk around outside or in the parking garage if it is raining. Keeps my metabolism boosted all day…

I too am Native American and sadly the diabetic epidemic plagues my tribe as well. Great job wanting to make a change in your life and setting a good example for your child. MFP has been an amazing tool for me I am half way to my goal.

This gives me an excellent energy boost periodically throguh out the day. Also on my lunch break I walk around the building a few…

I have an interview on Tuesday :) What I like to do before the interview is go over the job description with a fine tooth comb... pulling out all the little details of what is expected in the new job. I then go over my resume and fit my experience with the job description. It is nice to come up with a few stories about how…

I typically do at least 30 mins of cardio 6 days a week. On Mon/Wed/Friday I do two hours of cardio then on Tue/Thur/Sat I do weight training. But regardless of what day it is I still walk/jog for 30 mins. Seems to be working for me but it's a major committment.

I alternate my cardio between the elliptical and swimming. It is an amazing option and is very low impact. Great way to rest with out resting!

If you are going out to dinner most restaurants have their menus on line. In which case you can figure out exactly what you are going to eat before you go and how many calories it is going to be. Try not to eat the pre dinner bread that is provided or chips / salsa depending on the restaurant. Also if you are planning on…
