I gained 6 kilos in a week long vacation. That was after a very stressful few months at work to though where most of the time i was just eating dinner so then went on vacation and ate 3 meals a day. lost 3 kilks within the first week.

I also lost weight previously with weight watchers And became a lifetime member. After having two children needed to lose weight again but I don't know why but the new system didn't work for me. I would track everything but still not lose weight. As others have said I think it's this free fruit and veg thing even though I…

I would love to be able to do this as well. The not weighing is what is scaring me the most. I'll think about it more and let u know

I contacted support. They wanted a photo of the damage and a receipt as well as a shipping address. They are sending me a new one. Maybe you should do the same. You do need the receipt though but not the packaging.

No problem. Glad it helped

You need to do this on your computer not on the app Click on dashboard Click on the one that shows calories in va calories out Click on see more Scroll down to food plan Click on the arrow to the right on the food plan area to change the page till you get to plan summary Click on edit plan Change the weights to reflect…

I have mine set to maintain
-
Emailed them last night. They wanted photos and shipping details so hopefully they will replace it. I wasn't sure whether to go through them or the store I purchased it at
-
Sorry I just have a charge not a HR sorry for the wrong info
-
I've tried it and did not feel tired or cold. You need to make sure you eat your tdee or if you are doing mfp method maintenance plus Excercise calories on the days you are not fasting. You should not be eating at a 500 calorie deficit on these days
-
You can force a sync by in the app clicking on more and then at the bottom of the page clicking on sync
-
I don't know why it's doing that because my sleep log is quite accurate. You can manually put the fitbit into sleep mode and out by holding done the button on the side till it vibrates and your screen will change.
-
My maintenance is also 1650 when I put in sedentary but wearing a fitbit has actually made me realize I'm lightly active and usually get 300-400 extra calories a day. I don't have an active job and the only steps I normally do are just my day to day activities (housework, cooking, getting from place to place, shopping) so…

i have a small treat almost every night. It's summer here so I normally have either a mini ice cream (a few brands do these) or half a cup of ice cream. Normally these are between 100-200 calories. In winter I'll normally have a tea with a couple biscuits usually for around the same amount of calories

fitbit basis it on calories not on steps. I would assume since he is a male he would have more calories allocated to him in the first place. Based on your activity when you sync the two devices fitbit will estimate what your burn is for the day and its its more then what my fitnesspal has estimated then you will get a…

I weight daily and allow myself a kilo before I start cutting back. I also have a daily routine to my meals so I know for breakfast and lunch roughly how many calories I am having and for dinner I eat what I want but if it is calorie dense I will have a smaller portion. Then 3 days a week I don't eat lunch because I work…

I have been thinking the same thing last couple of days. It keeps saying myfitnesspal has synced but steps stay the same I press to manually sync and same thing happens. Only thing keeping me here is that fitbits database is not as good
-
Thanks heybales that really explains it. Ill leave the setting as it is then and thanks for also explaining how it works it out the steps. Very helpful. Thanks for such a detailed answer

That was my other question as well whether it counts steps even if your arm is not moving. I found on the website in the faq section as well that it will count steps if you are say pushing a shopping trolley but it will be less accurate then if your arm was moving and likely to count less steps because your arm is not…

Updated from the zip to charge today
-
If you want to update your steps in my fitness pal u can go to the app press on more and sync it will then sync with fitbit and everything will be updated. Doesn't mean you will get an adjustment though cos this depends on what activity level myfitnesspal is set at and what they estimate your burn will be for the day and…
-
It depends how many steps you have taken. I have my fitness pal set to sedentary. I usually see adjustments once I have reached 3000-4000 steps (sorry not sure of the actual number) but I know its around then. Say myfitnesspal thinks you will burn 2000 calories a day. Based on the steps you have done fitbit will then send…

It takes into account calories you are burning just by being alive. So I think that where tHat number is coming from. I know with me it calculates it at 4 calories a min but for you obviously it will be different as you have different stats then me
-
I had the fitbit zip while losing and it seemed to be pretty spot on as I usually ate back exercise calories (may not all it depended on day) and was losing at the rate I should.

I'm the same weight I was at the beginning of December. I don't count unless weight is starting to creep up so don't know if I overate but weight stayed the same
-
Weighed myself this morning and only up 200 grams which I would normally consider a normal fluctuation. Even though I did not count I did not go crazy. Think I've done well this Christmas season maintaining my weight and it has taught me that you don't have to gain weight this time of year
-
I wrote today off too. Weighed myself this morning and was at maintenance so I'll see what the damage is tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed your day
-
Okay thanks so much for taking the time to reply. The thing you said about the different types of steps and different calorie burns make sense. I'm understanding how it works a lot better now. Thanks
-
I just changed mine today. The app showed low, I got an email saying battery was low and needed to be charged and when I would tap through the zip it would show a battery at the bottom which isn't normally there.

device and app plus my fitness pal said the 6050 steps. Just went back into it now fitbit calories burned were 1595 and my fitness pal projected was 1669. So I actually lost 74 calories in the end. What confuses me is other days I have done 4000 steps and got calories added so I don't understand why with 6050 steps through…
