Not sure I'd say addicted, but I'm sport'n my Flex 24-7! Fitbit combined with honest logging of caloric intake are the only things giving me long-term weight control success. The steps don't lie... the Flex keeps my activity level honest and not just aspirational. Also impressed how well it tracks my sleep. Work'n hard to…

When the late night munch monster attacks I hit it with light exercise like a couple laps around the block. Clears the mind. Good luck!

I’m thinking your word “Struggling” is not something associated with sustainable long-term lifestyle change. 1,200 calories a day is super low. Are you working to meet some type of deadline for your goal weight? I might recommend you up your daily calories to something that causes less stress. On MFP check out the APPS…

Here's what someone told me when I had same issue: ticker numbers can be set at apps > ticker > update weight data it may not be using the "start weight" that your account itself is. start, current and goal are the 3 fields you can set on the ticker... if your newsfeed is saying "user has lost X lbs SINCE THEIR LAST WEIGH…

As his comments are impacting how you feel, I might recommend you get it out in the open. Ask him what's his motivation in telling you these demotivating comments. You may want to ask him to explain his concerns/fears regarding your quest for a healthier future. Open the dialogue. See what he as to say and then go from…

I wouldn't call it rude...but it's sooooo much sweeter when I wait for them to tell me.

I just tell ‘em: I’ve been exercising more.

I might recommend it being a family event and not something directed at your 9yo. As I'm sure you already are, I'd simply start making healthy choices with family meals, controlling portions, and then follow dinner up with family walks, etc. Best wishes for you and your daughter.

Never been a juicer, but swear by my Blendtec (I need the fiber). Wow. 32lbs in 15 days?! I found huge weight gyrations diddn't work for me which is why I'm here on MFP. Slow and steady lifestyle/diet changes in a supportive community.

Ramen? Paleo? Not sure, but I do know an Alaskan Grizzly Bear can pack on enough fat to survive a winter siesta on an uber-paleo diet of nothing but fresh river salmon sashimi and mountain grown organic blueberries and huckleberries fresh off the bush…

Take. …but as part of a balanced diet. If my food choices for the day as calculated by MFP food diary shows I’m low on protein I’ll mix a quick scoop in a glass of water to get my percentage up. Happens about 2-3 times a week. I'll also mix up a scoop if I fill the urge to much coming on (and then take a walk until the…

The Afghans steep/drink their green tea infused with whole cardamom pods, and that’s how I’m now drinking it. Cheers!

If you're feeling healthy and energized, and using the MFP food diary to ensure proper balance of protein, carbs, etc., then yes I wouldn't worry. Muscle gain from weights is building your resting metabolism. ...but 4 lbs a week is really fast. I’m no expert, but you may want to slow it down so you can give your skin a…

For me it's only a binge if aferwards it comes with guilt. When I feel it coming on (and it does) I try to remove myself from the temptation. Go outside, walk around the block a couple of times, etc. ...but knowing I have social events where food is on the table, I'll do like kayt6889 writes and "save" for it throughout…
