I am also a beer geek with the belly to prove it. My DR explained it is not just the calories but the alchohol that will kill any weight loss attempts. I am drinking a couple of beers twice a week and the results are there. I have been wanting to try Atheletic, I've heard good things. Cheers!

Not even close to the 3:49:18 Amazing first Marathon time (ahh to be young) -Keybank Vermont City Marathon, It got pretty warm (close to 80) which really took a toll on me, but 4:42:45 for me is a PR so pretty happy. But I did need IV fluids after. All in all a great race in a great location, and the volunteers, crowds,…

Do it! I have a 14 year old that plays travel sports and if I waited for an open weekend I would wait for ever. I did a half last month (PR) in the morning then drove 3+ hours solo to watch him play a baseball. It was tough and I was tired, but he appreciated it and I had a blast at both.

I don't live too far away from Boston and if you have never been to Boston on Patriots day you have no idea of the magnitude of the marathon. This is not just a "race" this is an event that the whole region participates in. The City shuts down, the kids have the day off from school, the Red Sox play at 11:05 so that…

I love to run in the cold too ( and I also do several other outdoor winter sports) First rule is layers. second is synthetic wicking materials, No cotton, Quality wicking clothes can be expensive but in my experience you get what you pay for. Lastly I would wear more than just a headband, as you can lose A LOT of heat from…

My Physical Therapist is now treating me for lateral patella tracking, same kind o f symptoms as ITBS and really the same strength treatment.. But either way it looks like the…
