  • We have a home gym that came with a poster of three different full body workouts. I alternate between them.
  • My husband and I started dating almost 9 years ago...which is when I initially started putting on my weight. Just a couple months after we started dating I was having a feel sorry for myself fat evening (crying about it, of course). He really was trying to be nice. "I don't know what you're making such a big deal about.…
  • Tonight we're having steamed broccoli and a baked potato with ours. Even with butter on my potato it all adds up to less than 500 calories. Yum!
  • Great work! Don't blame yourself for your loss. Even the healthiest women lose babies. Sad, but true. Pain and grieving is normal. Don't add toit any longer by continuing to blame yourself. Keep it up!
  • I never really thought it was that weird, but others have mentioned it so I'll add it too...my 2nd toe is longer than my big toe. I have HUGE calves...even when I was thin and in shape. I flew to italy once from the US (12 hr flight if I remember correctly) and the water retention in my legs was so bad my calves seriously…
  • It's possible that they're done growing, but I didn't get mine until college and at one point I was up to a D cup. I'm 13 lbs away from my high school weight now and they're 38C. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the same for you! :)
  • Fat is not necessarily bad for you. I've actually heard that regular (as opposed to low fat/fat free versions) milk, sour cream, yogurt, etc are better for weight loss because they keep you feeling full longer (although this doesn't seem to be a problem for you). I'd say this would be a good way for you to increase your…
  • I've had friends fill up milk jugs and use those as weights for things like tricep press or even carry them with you for weighted lunges. Also, ive heard of filling a backpack with heavy items and do squats or something. Just really make sure you're focusing on your form since the weight is behind you as opposed to on top…
  • Last year I actually lost weight while on vacation. I switched to maintenance mode instead of my normal deficit and I just estimated what I was having instead of my usual measuring/weighing. We didn't go visit anyone, just my own family vacation...so I didn't have worry about offending anyone. We made sure to take walks,…
  • First of all, I think people telling you that your bf is awful and you should dump him is totally uncalled for. We can't judge him and your relationship off of this one short blurb. I think that is disrespectful. You said he treats you well and you know he loves you. Second, there is no way any one of us will keep a guy…
  • That's the last place to go. We've all heard it before...you can't spot reduce. I know you work out hard...just keep doing what you're doing and it will start moving eventually.

  • I am very cheap! So I would keep them if I thought I would need them during/after maternity. I'm one that DOES keep ALL the baby stuff. But I KNOW we're having more...it's not a "what if". If you think it's likely, save them. If you think it's unlikely, get rid of them. I wore my maternity clothes (at least the pants) for…
  • I have a 9 month old and am still counting 500 cals burned from feeding her. A lot of women drop down to about 300 when they start feeding less. Do you have an estimate on how many oz you're feeding? I've heard you burn about 25 cals per oz. You can acct for it in a couple different ways. You can add it to your food diary…
  • Looks like you just joined. Log your foods every day and stay within your calorie limit this site sets up for you. Try to avoid processed foods and fast foods (although not 100%...you have to treat yourself sometimes) and eat more fruits, veggies and whole foods. You will lose weight.
  • I will admit that I would like to monitor the other items...for the "healthier" aspect of it. BUT...I really have been only watching calories (and I try to limit my sodium, especially a couple days before I weigh it). I am over almost everyday on carbs/fat/protein, but always under on my calories. I have lost 54 pounds in…
  • I am obsessed with it as well! I talk about it constantly. I joined almost three years ago (have had two babies since then) and am still plugging away at it. Doesn't seem like I've scared too many people away. I've actually encouraged several people to join. Not necessarily by telling them they should, but just by taking…
  • Great job! Be proud of yourself! :)
  • Eat what this site tells you to eat. You will lose weight. Try to get that final number of calories as close to ZERO as you can...even if it means you are -5... Trust me!!!
  • It is typical to lose so much when first starting out. But...you will not maintain this loss if you are only eating 1200 calories and burning 300 (therefore technically only eating 900!!). Good luck to you though.
  • Correct. Original poster of this quote. You're right...you don't HAVE to exercise to lose weight with this plan. Exercising just allows us to eat more and enjoy our life. We CAN eat and lose weight while following this plan. Exercising also helps us tone up and adds other beneficial "side effects" to our losing weight…
  • You have OVER 1000 calories left to eat EVERY DAY!!! EAT MORE!!! Seriously, try it out for a month and see what it does. What do you have to lose? Pounds? EAT MORE!!!!
  • Great job!! You will love this site! It will really help you lose the rest! :)
  • Great job! What an accomplishment!
  • Yes. I only weigh once a week. I record every weigh in. I want to be able to see the overall trend.
  • Great job girl!!! Congratulations. Your hard work has truly paid off!! Keep it up and good luck on your maintaining journey! I am sure it will be a whole new world!!
  • Change your number to 1200 and you're spot on. But seriously, I would recommend eating whatever this site suggests. If you want pretty reliable results, then just do it.
  • At your weight, no. Not in a healthy way. Just keep plugging away (the healthy way) and your results will come with it. It may take more time than you want it to, but in the end it will happen. :)
