  • Exactly what quixoteQ said.. you've come so far! Further than most of us can push ourselves. You've noticed changes, even small ones, and that's enough that you can keep charging. Kick some *kitten* and give yourself some more kudos!
  • Right on! Glad you are getting back in the game, and with such a positive attitude towards it! Welcome, and good luck. :)

  • Oh, and thank you for the link econut2000
  • Absolutely.. I'm not saying I don't eat food. I'm married, which means my husbands I can't not eat solid food. Men just don't seem to do that haha.. At least one meal a day is solid. When it comes to juicing, I am aware of the fiber issues and such and such. That's why I add the "pulp" to smoothies and soups. I did have my…
  • I like to drink anything really. I don't go out and buy shakes, or powder mixes. I like water, juice, coffee, milk, Bolthouse Farms drinks, etc.. I like soups, and I do enjoy juicing fresh produce for fresh smoothies. I don't drink soda, or protein shakes (not specifically at least). I often do feel satisfied with fluids..…
  • I am in a different city now, so I don't have the same doctors, but I will look around here. I don't know why I didn't think of that, thank you.
  • Thanks for the suggestions! I'm not dizzy or anything, just a very sore throat with cough, and .. well I don't understand the deal with my nose. I can't breathe through it.. but there's nothing up there :/... Honestly I feel like a fish out of water.. dried out everywhere. I think I'll take the suggestion of a short walk.…
  • Wow, all great answers! Interesting the different things we enjoy around the world to start our day. I think I'm going to have to start a grocery list now :P
  • Glad to have you Claire! You sound like my kind of person : ) Sometimes I think head banging makes up half of my calories burned a day!
  • Welcome! You may not find a physical work out buddy here, but people you can correspond with daily and support each others' motives to health and fitness!

  • I would limit yourself to one a day actually. While it is good for maintaining hunger, it also has ingredients that aren't the best for you such as high fructose corn syrup. Be careful, and make sure to at least get the calories you need to sustain your body just breathing. Maybe look into other smoothie type things for a…
  • Wow, sounds like you have done amazingly well so far! Good luck to keeping it up, and I hope this site is just what you need to breach that plateau!
  • That's the hardest part, falling off and getting back on. It always seems like such a constant struggle. I too hope one day I can just latch on to that wagon, and be satisfied enough to never let go. Good luck to you, and welcome back!

  • I've noticed that an awful lot. It is frustrating sometimes, especially when there are multiples of one food and most are wrong. I think once one has so many confirmations, it should be the only one posted, with the option for a user to report it has changed.
  • Like you, my boyfriend is also an enabler. He's thin, tall, and while his eating habits affect his nutrition and health, it doesn't affect his weight so he sees no reason to change. It makes it so hard on me. Honestly, I was fit before I met him, after a very very long journey to get there. Living with a lazy butt,…
  • I've been an excessive water drinker most of my life.. I don't think it's diabetes, but I supposed that is always something to talk to my doc about. I just wanted to make sure I'm not overdoing it some days. I do space it out. The only time I drink a large amount all at once is following some of my medications that require…
  • Thanks for the information, and sites. I will get to reading!
  • Good information.. I think I shall bookmark this.
  • I would love to help, but I really don't know. That is something to ask your GP just to be sure. Good luck!
  • I have been considering going Vegan for awhile now. My doctor even recommended it not long ago, but the transition just seems so difficult, and more difficult seems to be getting my surrounding friends and family to adjust to my change. My fiance is a huge meat eater, and I admit I love dairy and eggs. But I do want the…
  • Wow, what an inspiration you two are! Thanks for posting this, it makes it seem much more real that I can achieve this!
  • I do love yogurt as is, but I've had frozen yogurt from an ice cream parlor before. I think I might try this, it could be a nice change from regular. Like you said almost like ice cream.. so then I shouldn't crave ice cream so much as it is probably my worst challenge on a healthy diet! :P Thanks for the idea!
  • Cheapest most efficient and very effective way: We have an under the sink filter. Kind of like those filters you put on your faucet, but it filters ALL the water that comes out. So you cook with clean water, and drink clean water, wash your hands with clean water, pets...etcetc. Best of all the flow isn't slowed down at…
  • How accurate that quote really is! It is so hard to look fear in the face, and inconceivably hard to do the things we think we cannot do as mind can take over our lives dramatically. But words in order like that give you the motivation and thoughts to counteract and do what we can determine to do.
  • Well I saw in another post that they do have it on Netflix for DVD..which is great. But I do think I'd like to have my own copy to take with me, and keep rather than alternating it with other movies. I already added it to my Wal-Mart list : ) Even though I hate supporting Wal-Mart : (
  • Well one of my favorite things to make is Shrimp Salad. We get all the good veggies: a few different leafs (ice burg, romaine, etc), onion, pepper, carrots, peas, broccoli, and I even like to throw in some strawberries or grapes from time to time. You can just buy a mixed bag of lettuce to start out for the cheaper end…
  • Awesome, I will check them out next week when I head up there again. Thanks!
  • I know eating every color is best, but at least I get four or five different colors a day. I buy a few different vegetables that I mix in with other meals to get more colors also.. like if my four fruits and veggies are: kiwi(green), orange (orange), broccoli (green)... then I buy red onion (purple) and yellow bell pepper…
