  • I'm following the Dukan Diet so have to keep things low carb and relatively low fat. I've bought a 'light choices' hot chocolate powder which is the nicest stuff I've ever tried, and when I feel like something sweet I'll put a couple of spoons in with fat free natural yoghurt, oat bran porridge (this is GORGEOUS), skimmed…
  • I want to go outside in the dry and sunny but snowy weather! Not sure what to do outside though, nowhere to go!
  • I can appreciate anyone who doesn't want to 'flaunt'. But I don't see 'skin' as being very private or intimate, so there's no reason I wouldn't reveal mine, especially as it's the easiest way to show what you've achieved - and a lot of people deserve to feel proud :)
  • Cooking for a friend and watching a Ryan Gosling film - no different to any other random week night :D
  • If I make it to my goal, I'd quite like to get a very meaningful tattoo. Sadly, I'm rubbish wth ideas, but might think of something fitting and personal with some help :) And maybe have my hip re-pierced :p
  • Thank you, that was very helpful! Definitely think I could be the kind of person who enjoys the kick start at the beginning of the day :) Looking forward to it now, I'm guessing it could take a while but I'll get there. Eeeeeee!
  • Thanks everyone I'll probably be really up for it the first time and then take ages to get used to it! Ah well, it'll be much more beneficial and I KNOW it'll be all right once I'm up and doing. NEED to do this
  • East Mids - UK :) Happy for anyone to add me x
  • I'm currently on the Duakn Diet but I log here so I have a good idea of what macros I'm eating :) Obviously I'm nowhere near to finishing it, but half the point in the Dukan is that you get into good habits. I can imagine that a lot of people fail once they reach their goal weight, but this is general; not just related to…
  • Heyy. I'm about 5'1" and I'm currently 135lbs. I also have no idea what my target weight should be but I'm just going to see how it goes. I really want to get some resistance/ HIIT work in so that I end up a little less flabby than I currently am but finding it hard grr.
  • I'd always been slim and active, suddenly I'm having to buy jeans 3 sizes bigger than I felt. Today I'm 2 jeans sizes down yay!!
  • Skimmed Milk Fat Free Natural Yoghurt - (need some light choices chocolate powder in the cupboard too though :p ) Eggs Lean ham Brocolli
  • Single - yes! Alone - No!! I'm cooking for a friend and we're going to watch Ryan Gosling movies (hopefully Drive and Crazy Stupid Love)... and maybe The Inbetweeners just for the 'Playaz!' I'm SO excited :D :D :D
  • Thanks for all the effort you've put in. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. I might look into buying some then, though I might first have a week of trying to eat enough protein - guided by 1g per lb of bodyweight. At the moment I'm lifting light due to easing back into it so will consider it more when I up the…
  • It sounds as though you just need to plan ahead more: if you're hungry, it may be because you're not eating sensibly. Eating loads of carbs and very little protein can have this effect. Try buying in plenty of cuts of lean meat and fish and have low fat and sugar yoghurt in your fridge rather than the normal, like you…
  • I'm currently doing it! I'm 2 months in and have lost a stone and a half. I even managed to lose over Christmas and New Year - still having the odd treat! - by resorting back to the basics of the Dukan Principle. I find it really easy. Meat fish and veg are my favourite things. In the first stage you just have to learn to…
  • I'm 23 - 5ft0 and have just lost about a stone and a half recently, and still going strong! Hoping to hit the exercise hard soon and get lean and tight :)
  • Can't see the pics but CONGRATS on a very much deserved achievement :flowerforyou:
  • I read this because I was wondering whether this was a huge deal for someone, as personally I very much DISLIKE fizzy drinks. They make my teeth feel gritty, make me thirstier due to sugar content and even the diet versions - which I don't mind because they are less sugary - are full of crap! So if you need reminding of…
  • Congrats!! Kids say the best things <3
  • It's so easy to gain weight when you enjoy food, however, some small and steady changes can have a huge impact. I've lost a stone over the past few weeks and have absolutely no problem with what I am/ am not eating :) I'm enjoying kicking the bad habits and realising that good food can be just as enjoyable. Hope you get…
  • Are you eating enough to fuel weight training?
  • That is fantastic :)
  • You can look at what makes your sugars so high by looking at the breakdown, maybe reduce anything that looks extremely high in sugar and swap it for something high in what you eat less of. Keep eating fruit by all means, just swap around which types of fruit you have perhaps - variety is always good anyway :)
  • So you think your body will burn ONLY fat until it has all gone? And have you forgotten about glycogen stores (energy in the form of carbs)? Your body breaks down glycogen, fat AND protein for use ALL the time. It is the RATIO of the 'fuels' that changes, depending on needs.
  • I'm the same height and looking to lose about 28lbs :)
  • I lift!! I LOVE it  I aim to go 3 days a week, and alternate 2 'routines': Deadlifts, Lunges and Military Press. Squats (back), Assisted Pull Ups and Rows. So I work all major muscle groups each time, but it's a sort of upper/ lower split so that I don't ache too much :) Oh and I lift high weight, for low reps ( I…
  • Tuna :) Lemon juice and pepper if you want to liven it up without added fat! If you have carbs left throw some pasta in? If you have more protein then it'd be fish or hard boiled egg for me x

  • Shhhhh, I can't fight for weights with many more people :p Anyone noticed the lack of lifting equipment in a pretty big amount of leisure centres? A personal trainer in a leisure centre local to me (she herself was well overweight - just saying!) said: We don't have free weights because we don't want to encourage that type…
  • I'm fat because I took being thin as a kid for granted. Never considered what would happen when I stopped being active - I pretty much went from an active lifestyle to a sedentary one in one swoop. I'd grown up eating when I wanted because I was so busy that I was often ready for food anyway. In later years I still ate…
