I have a bunch of the Eat This Not That books. I like them because they're easy reads, and you can use them as a reference. I just bought the 2012 book. I haven't really combed through it too much, but I just like the style of the book. I also cook from the Cook This Not That book pretty frequently. It helps make little…

I put guacamole or mashed up avocado with nothing added. Delicious!!!

Oooh, that's tough. Have your PE teachers been working on this with you and your class? It seems so early to be having fitness testing--the teachers must hate that! I am interested to read what people reply...because I don't think it's really possible.

It's all going to get easier from here!! Soon we'll be hearing about you running 20 minutes without stopping. Great job!!!
-
I'm not entirely sure what a reasonable time is--but what I did was every 2 weeks or so I would do the entire 5k (ran as much as I could...walked the other parts) and timed it. I've been aiming to cut down on that time.

How much water did you drink? Could you have been dehydrated? That's when I usually get headaches. Feel better!!

Happy Birthday!!! I didn't even log on my birthday. Surprisingly, I didn't eat THAT much crap, but it's your birthday, you're allowed to indulge!! Enjoy and have a great day!!!

I really have no idea--just wanted to wish you GOOD LUCK at the Warrior Dash. It looks like so much fun. Good luck!!!

What you are experiencing is called DOMS. Dynamic Onset Muscle Soreness. Happens after working out muscles you don't normally train. Make sure you are eating your macros (proteins, carbs, fats) and get enough rest. Happens to everyone. [/quote] I believe it's Delayed not Dynamic. Delayed meaning it usually starts about…

That's so fantastic!! Great job!! I agree, there was a time where I said "I have to run for 5 more minutes? Ugh!" Now, I think "Oh, just 5 more minutes, I can do that." Great work!!!

I agree--for some things. Other things, like what acronyms mean and such, that can easily be googled.

Ha! I love that!!! I'm a Googler too. Use it everyday! :)

I don't believe it's too fast. It looks like you're averaging somewhere around the 2lb a week mark. I believe (and I'm not a doctor) that that is a healthy rate. I also believe it generally comes off faster in the beginning. If you were losing 10lb a week for 3 weeks, then I'd be worried. Again, not a doctor. Congrats on…

WOW!!! That is a HUGE difference. Incredible. You must be so proud. Keep up the hard work!!!

I think repeating weeks is totally okay, and seems to be pretty common. I haven't repeated a whole week, but I've extended them, repeating days. I don't move onto the next week until I feel confident in the workouts prior. So there are some weeks when I finish all three workouts and then do two extra before I move on. I…

Do you breathe through your nose when you're sedentary? If you don't--maybe if you consciously try to fix that when you're not active, it will help make it easier when you are? Not sure that it will work, but it's a thought... I know that I try to take really deep breaths to fill my lungs as best I can... I imagine it will…
