I am 46, 5'5", and currently 180 lbs. Chemotherapy caused my early menopause about a year and a half ago. I gained about 18 lbs. Since I have been eating right and exercising I am losing on average 1.5 lbs. per week. Unless, of course, I screw up my good habits. You can do it! I have found that eating the same stuff for…

Healthy cereal ( add a little honey if you need to), dark chocolate (with or without nuts), sugar free drinks (not soda), popcorn, add cinnamon to most things. I know it's hard. Try some beef jerky as a snack at night. Lots of protein and some of the flavors are a little sweet. Also have a night time routine that doesn't…

Really!? One year ago I underwent a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery following a breast cancer diagnosis and chemo, etc. Surgery Is just not something that I would ever elect to have. It's potentially dangerous, and the recovery time sucks. As unhappy as I was with my small breasts, I wish I had them back…

I have been eating them for a couple years. I use the 50 calorie whole wheat garlic and herb ones every day for my wrap. Love them! ps. The small ones. The big ones were too much for lunch.

I do have to have a margarita about once every 2 weeks on Friday. I have changed it up and cut the calories and sugar with the "skinny margarita" though. I have also tried diet margarita mix (it's ok, but I prefer the fresh squeezed lime).

Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup bread crumbs, an egg or two, and some ketchup if you like.I always add garlic, pepper, and basil. Cook in a skillet til almost done,…

I have a hard boiled egg, dannon light and fit yogurt( though I am thinking of switching to greek), and fruit (usually berries, citrus or apples). It's only about 250-300 calories. I eat this at 7:30am after starting work (school bus driver) at 6am. Sometimes if I am really hungry I will add a bit of beef jerky or string…

I also am a Dewaholic. A friend suggested diet, but...... eeewww! So then she told me to try half regular and half diet. I mix them in water bottles. Not bad. I have been doing this for 2 weeks now. Not only am I cutting half of the calories and sugar, I also quit having my third one in the evening. Another benefit is that…

Be careful with soy. It promotes female hormones. Too much is not ok. As a breast cancer survivor, I am not allowed soy. FYI

Cyclists don't always have a lane. The sidewalk is much safer for me. Hey, and I haven't yet hit a runner. These darn moms that have to walk side by side on my fave trail (for bikes too!) need to learn some manners and their right from left.. just saying!

Chemotherapy..... another cure.

I use a small ice chest. I use bottles of frozen water to keep everything cool. I drive a school bus, so no office or break room for me. I use and reuse plastic bags for my eggs and precut fruit. I also keep my extra water bottle and diet green tea in there.
