  • Huh. I used to eat 2 meals at once in the mornings. The chocolate chip pancake mix was too small for me to deal with a single packet, so I always put 2 packets together to make 1 big pancake. I did that on weekends at 8am, and again around 10am. By noon, I had 4 of my Medifast meals eaten. Didn't hinder my weight loss in…
  • http://www.nuttyabouthealth.com/2012/12/10/low-carb-cream-cheese-pancakes/ 4 ingredients, easy, and delish. I've experimented with it since I like fluffy pancakes (a little milk/cream works wonders). MF got me hooked on my daily pancake fix and I refuse to give them up now!
  • Oooh awesome! I was going to ask if anybody had more tips for maintenance. I have been doing a ton of cooking for myself now. While it's fun making some of the same stuff (cauliflower pizza, cream cheese pancakes), new recipes are always welcome. :)
  • Best of luck! I lost all my weight on Medifast (almost 100 pounds). It's really easy and structured. If you follow it, you should have great results! :) I tended to eat too much meat every day so I wasn't 100% on target every day, but it definitely taught me better eating habits than my pizza & fast food bingeing.
  • I tend not to choose salt as a spice, but I go crazy on the rest of my spice cupboard. Mrs. Dash is my hero, I love almost all of the blends. They are great on chicken, pork, eggs... whatever I feel like cooking. Really jazzes it up, especially if you like flavor.
  • Cauliflower pizza & zucchini lasagna. Too hard to choose just one!!
  • Chocolate chip pancakes. I can eat them 5 times a day, every day. Yum.
  • Yea! I make the peanut butter soft serve into a shake. It's fine to prepare just like the other shakes with 8oz of water but I usually mix some fake milk in to make it creamier.
  • Bummer that you are experiencing this! I slept like a pro before Medifast and during. 8+ hours each night, uninterrupted. Has there been another change in your life, or activity level like the others suggested?
  • 40G->32C here. And yes. They definitely shrank, I've lost more inches from my chest than anywhere else. They are like sad empty deflated balloons but whatever. I'd rather have sad boobs than be fat.
  • Aw man I'd love to do Judith some day but I'm so self conscious about exposing my midriff. Hope to see yours at Otakon though :) This year I'll be at: Katsucon, Momocon, Aselia con, Project Akon, Anime Expo, Otakon, Dragon*con, and Anime Weekend Atlanta. Hoping to get costumes together for Rikku (Final Fantasy X-2), Fayt…
  • I was disappointed with it, especially considering how overly complex the microwave instructions are. Put in microwave, stir, sit, microwave, stir, sit, etc... really?? Tastes too much like Easy Mac, right down to that weird plasticy texture. I'll stick with parmesan cheese puffs for my savory snack.
  • Is cost an issue? If not, your local grocery should have pre-packaged salads in several flavors. A medium sized one of those is a perfect L&G. However, it's way cheaper to make your own salads. Twice a week to the store to get lettuce + whatever other veggies you like. And if you don't want to cook meat, you can get…
  • Happy New Year all! I suppose it's the perfect time to commit and recommit! Please feel free to add me for any support you might need. I might be almost done but it's been a long journey.
  • This isn't about starving yourself. For a million different reasons, you might be hungry. If you're hungry and all you can think about is food, your body is telling you to eat. Don't ignore it!! Just eat something. You can eat a 5 & 2 day or a 6 & 1 day... heck I've done some days where I've eaten 7 or 8 Medifast meals. I…
  • Dude you are really thick skinned, and I mean that as a compliment. I wouldn't ever post my success on the general board here since VLCDs are seriously hated on. It's like How DARE you lose weight through a VLCD??! THE NERVE! Really I don't care for the hate (I get it from tons of friends and coworkers and lately even my…
  • Ah welcome to day 1 ! It's a weird transition and you'll adjust in a few days, but don't be alarmed if you feel hungry the first couple days. I second Kaitie, drink extra water or snack on some light stuff (I snacked on celery since it has basically nothing in it).
  • Avoid the stuffing but you can enjoy most of the rest of traditional Thanksgiving stuff in small portions. You can enjoy a couple ounces of white meat turkey without gravy, and a few small servings of vegetables or one big serving of your favorite vegetable. I'm having some turkey, some green beans, some spinach salad, and…
  • Depending on how much you need to lose, you might want to go through and try everything they have to offer. I have been on it for what seems like forever, and I've literally tried every product they offer except coffee flavored stuff (as I do not like coffee flavor, ever). The cereal is awesome, but I might be a bit biased…
  • Ugh, I know! I am super bored of Medifast. It's been like forever and a day since I've been eating their boring food. Now that I'm getting closer to goal the losses are tiny each week. My family is frustrated since I said I'd be done by September, which became November, which is now maybe sometime next year. Surely someone…
  • Yea, considering how controversial the diet plan is on the rest of the boards, it's nice for us to have our little niche. :P I think I've been here since Day 1 of my diet back in February or so. Very nice to have the other ladies around for advice and encouragement!
  • What a fantastic first week! Hope you continue to see big scale successes. :)
  • No kidding. All my coworkers tell me I'm done losing weight and I just blow them off. This is my body and my choice about when I am done losing weight. Goodness, they were telling me 30+ pounds ago that I was done losing weight. They tell me I'm going to waste away or whatever. I realize that some are just jealous that…
  • At my highest weight I basically never had a period (seriously maybe once a year and it was extremely light). As I've been losing weight, the period has returned and now is on a normal monthly cycle. Absolutely no improvement with any of the other symptoms whatsoever though.
  • Why is the weekend different than the weekdays? It's a daily routine.
  • I get lazy from time to time about logging since I've found sticking with Medifast is sorta boring. I eat basically the same thing 7 days a week. :P Not complaining, it makes my life very simple. It's a bit pricey though and I'm looking forward to hitting goal weight and transitioning off it. Works good, but after 6 months…
  • Not to be contrary, but as long as you find something close in stats to the recommended brand, I don't think it matters. I've been enjoying my unsweetened coconut milk (various brands) for 2 weeks and still showing steady weight loss. Definitely stick with the unsweetened, even though the enhanced stuff is delish, the…
  • Welcome to the internet, where people can argue for hours anonymously for fun! Seriously, just ignore it if it bugs you. Don't let them get under your skin. :P My friends and family are really skeptical about my diet. I am skeptical about their eating and exercise habits. We can't all possibly be right! However, I've lost…
  • Sandy is awesome and I love the creativity on that site! That being said, I live and die for that cauliflower pizza. I make it per one of the simple instructions (just cauliflower, eggbeaters, and cheese). I am so glad I didn't have to give up pizza! My friends and family think I am crazy every time I go on about how…
